I turned things around on them making my players roll defense vrs me rolling attacks. It keeps them more involved.

I'd really like to see sticking with the same format for what powers are gotten when, I understand theme, but also you want to maintain balance.

Fading Suns has been taking over by Redbrick limited. RedBrick Limited • Raising Your Game As for Rifts I think it's one of the gretest settings ever, but one of the worst... rule systems.

Pen/Paper/Dice/Computer/Notes/Cash and or Snacks... I don't supply the munchies/drinks, and we all play off of laptops so their computer replaces the character sheet.

Basically it's mainly weapons/pics/Descriptions. With about 4-6 Feats. If I took out the pic's and flavor text It would be probably 3/4th of a page.

Taste is all in the mouth of the beerholder ;) Besides that if we all agreed on style we would only need one radio station that played Abba all day, one style of clothes, one political party, etc etc. There is no right or wrong answer just opinions. But I look at it this way, I'm content paying...

Actually, for what I pay monthly, MP would be awesome.. iplay4e not so much... but then again... I'm never on that side of the screen.

1) Oh yea, they only have to worry about a couple of things once, and as far as the changes I did to combat, it makes it much faster, and keeps them way more involved. There isn't much work on their end, the only downside is a lot of the stuff I do isn't tracked in the Builder.

I've found most WOTC published adventures to be horridly grindy. I tend to either rebuild all the encounters if I run them, or just don't run the pre done stuff. So far besides a few gems in dragon, I re-adjust all encounters done by wotc.

I'm on the same page, sadly from a legal standpoint they are holding all the cards so to speak. Trust me I as much as the rest of the world wished they would have delivered on their full promise.

I was reading a thread on the wizards site and it made me wonder if i had to many house rules... here is my listing of them. My world has firearms so I have 3 pages of weapons/bonus feats. I tend to give non character Builder rewards (boons/items) And give all players a flat +1 to Dmg...

If the Monster Builder could handle traps, Templates, themes and print more then one monster at a time. I would be quite content with what we have. I do not need any more then that. I can calculate xp in my head. A dungeonbuilder would be nice, but frankly Dungjinni and FantasyGrounds is far...

Then my best suggestion is do away with the dice, put the books away and do group storytelling.
