Well keep in mind this the TTRPG General forum. Probably different results on the actual D&D forum. That said, if you add up all the variants, other editions and retroclones, it’s actually D&D Family 68, non-D&D 55.
Yeah the problem I think has always been the niche nature of the game. It’s the best thing about it for me but ironically prevents it from gaining a mass audience.
The answer depends on exactly what the actual very next game is then I guess (as opposed to every possible future game). The question does say “next game” after all.
