    D&D 5E (2014) PotA Worth Buying?

Just read through this--a nice review. I own but haven't read Princes of the Apocalypse, as I'm currently playing through it in the Adventurers League, but I thought you were thorough and pretty even-handed in your approach to the material. Nice job.

    DRAGON+ #2

2 out of 5 rating for DRAGON+ #2 This second issue of Dragon+ is light on content for actual tabletop gamers, though it's somewhat justified by the video game theme. "Where It All Started: D&D Video Games" is interesting from a historical perspective (especially as a fan of the "Gold Box"...

    Torg Eternity Coming in 2016

Loved it growing up, even if (or because?) all my Orrorshan characters had a tendency to die horribly. Looking forward to seeing what they do with it (hopefully addressing some of the problems that killed it the first time around).

A Fantasy RPG Themed Bar on Kickstarter

Ooh, that's good! This way they get to stick with "D&D," though.

THE ONE RING Takes The Top Spot!

Just last week I blind-ordered Yggdrasill from my LGS! I might have to track down other C7 stuff if it's as high quality as people seem to think.

Lone Wolf Prepping to bring D&D 5th Edition to HEROLAB!

The Lone Wolf guys do good work, so I can only view this as a good thing.

    D&D 5E (2014) Tyranny of Dragons: Online Comic #1

I found it a little difficult to read in-browser, but it was a nice little teaser. I was never much into Baldeon's art but it looks pretty good there; the colors help. I hope they eventually put it into print when it's all wrapped up (maybe as added content in one of the IDW paperback collections?).

    Breaking free of eTools reliance

As the, uh, authority on this subject here, clearly we must... do... the thing... which I will explain... now. ... You see-- <suddenly jumps out window>

    Computerized DM aids

Vista's been surprisingly kind to me and mine so far. Mainly using Hero Lab for pretty much all my character needs and DM stuff to boot. I agree that access to the SRD is *very* handy on a laptop: here's probably the best one.

    1 PC Adventure Paths

I'll second this recommendation. Running the "Wizard's Challenge" back when it was, you know, current is one of my better gaming memories from back then. If the others in the "_______ Challenge" series are as good it's worth looking into.

    Breaking free of eTools reliance

Was wondering this myself after you brought it up (I'm not all that familiar with the Tome of Battle or Magic), and a query over at Lone Wolf's forums (they tend to be pretty direct and thorough over there) netted this response: Hero Lab is pretty good at supporting that stuff right now, but it...

    LGS in Vancouver-Seattle-Portland!

Whoa! That's quite the list! Thanks, gents! I knew I could count on the folks on this board to help me out (or at least spare me a few google minutes). I'll see how many I can hit and snobbishly critique while I'm traveling.

    Custom character sheets

I've been using Hero Lab pretty extensively (it's hard to to go back to a notebook and pen once you get used to the convenience of a good chargen program) which can accommodate most house rules (I've yet to give it anything it can't handle). It lets you know when you've gone outside the rules...

    LGS in Vancouver-Seattle-Portland!

I'll be hitting all of the cities in the subject line in a lengthy trip through the Pacific Northwest at the end of June, so I'm officially looking for recommendations on FLGS in those cities (or near enough) to hit. Lemme have it, ENWorlders!

    Dragon/Dungeon still in book stores?

Was just at the mall a couple days ago, and both Waldenbooks in the mall and the Borders in the outlot (same company, I believe) had them both. Of course, I've never seen anyone besides me actually pick them up and look at them there, which may have been part of the problem.

    Dragon #356

Yet another detailed and astute review of the issue, Alzrius. I'll miss these in three issues' time. Can we get you to do something similar with Pathfinder?

    Breaking free of eTools reliance

Oof! I guess I can see how these programs can be a crutch, but I'm very happy with Hero Lab myself, and I don't seem to have the... I'm gonna toss out "co-dependency" here... that some of those programs seem to inspire, especially ETools, users of which seem to be in various stages of grieving...
