    Mord-Sith in DnD

Keep in mind that the Mord-Sith could not only stop your magic, but they could turn it against you as well, using it to cause pain.

    Ignorance on the web

Well, it's not that I want religious discussions, per se, it's just that I was wondering about them. I've never really seen anything devolve into actual insults, the worst I've seen in a religious debate is one side simply being stubborn. I was just curious, is all, it just seemed that everybody...

    Ignorance on the web

I've been wondering... what's so bad about religious discussion? And saying "it leads to flame wars" doesn't count, because there are far to many things that lead to flame wars anyway. If you're worried about a religious discussion getting out of hand, why not just do the same thing that you...

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

It's not always that the feats aren't powerful enough, it's that they aren't nearly unique enough. Anybody can get them, really, except for one or two that are Fighter-only, and that just doesn't cut it. A class's entire set of class features simply should not be something that everybody can...

    Changing Ability Score Creation

I've used two non-standard methods, both of which seemed pretty well-regarded. The first is a combination of rolling and point-buy. First, you roll 3d6 six times, as normal. Then, you place your scores and add or subtract your racial modifiers. Then, you get 10 points using the standard...

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

Just allow them to take the same feat as the Sorceror, but restrict their spells known. Beguilers get Enchantment and Illusion, Warmages get Conjuration and Evocation, and Dread Necromancers get Necromancy. Easy.

    Name Unknown (A New PrC)

I created a half-sheet of paper with several mid-sized squares on it, each with a different type of bonus in it, and just used a bunch of little tokens. I convinced my DM to let me play one a while back, and while the game didn't last long, the class seemed to work alright. Switching the tokens...

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

While not neccessarily a fix, per se, I use a different set of stats in my human only games. And I have lots of them... it seems to work really well. Instead of set stats, I like to model human diversity and adaptability by giving a set of options for all cultures and groups. At first level, a...

Help me with the story of this Elf

I once had an idea for an Archivist that I never got to play. Perhaps I could live vicariously through some guy I don't know, who's probably half-way around the world, and has no clue who the hell I am... The basic idea was that this Archivist (I usually play humans, but an elf works just fine)...

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

Uh... I have no idea what that means. Anyway, random thought... this system would be just about perfect for Eberron. One of the main ideas is that anything above level 5 is very rare, right? I've always thought that the PC's being so much higher level than anybody else kinda ruins that effect...

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

Well... I like to do at least semi-original stuff, so it'll be a little different than your usual background. I'll beusing a monotheistic settin for the main "goodguy culture", with the only ones able to use psionics being those who have been "blessed" with a small piece of the main deity's...

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

The game I plan on starting one RPoL is going to be a psionics-only game (a recent decision). Have you tested E6 out using psionics? If so, are there any different things that need to be accounted for? One thing I think is that the Increased Manifesting could allow new powers learned without...

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

What would be so bad about just saying that Ability Training gives +1, then Improved Ability Training gives a stacking +1? Sure, somebody could take a +1 to an odd stat, but is that really so bad? If somebody has an odd score, why should they have to waste a feat and get an ability point they...

What's the equivalent of Practiced Spellcaster for fighters?

Powerful spells are way above attacks and BAB in worth.

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

It's worth it, really. Makes pure melee combatants mechanically fun again. There are a few balance issues to watch out for, but it's mostly well done. The Swordsage is a little up in power level, and there are a few Maneuvers that could do with some nerfing, but other than that it's great.

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

Thanks Dragonblade, I really liked the concept in Iron Heroes, but didn't like the way they executed it. As for the ToB, I wouldn't really be all that against adding Warblade maneuver progression to the Fighter straight on. Take away the Warblade's maneuvers, and the Warblade and Fighter seem...

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

Well, I use Action Points that recover 1/day rather than x/level, but I suppose that'd work just as well. The first use, of course, would be free, but changing it once it's chosen could require an AP/Conviction thingy.

E6: The Game Inside D&D (new revision)

Well, I've always given fighters 4+int skill points, any two skills as class skills, and every other feat (2/6/10/14/18) as Wildcard Feats (see below). Maybe changing all the Fighter Bonus Feats to Wildcard feats, as well as the extra skill stuff, would make them worthwhile. The Wildcard Feats...
