Judges Guild Makes Statement About Goodman Controversy [Updated]

Speaking to DCC more than Shadowdark...the rules actually state that they expect most people will just make characters like with other RPGs (the rules are easy, not really build based), with the funnel being sort of an exception to the norm Ansd the characters are entirely rolled up on a table...

D&D 5E (2024) You Can Now Pre-order Eberron: Forge of the Artificer

OK, so, that was probably Final Fantasy 3...but that means it was really Final Fantasy 6.

Judges Guild Makes Statement About Goodman Controversy [Updated]

The interesting thing about DCC was always that it is not a retroclone: it really is a 3E variant that is really answering the question of "OK, supposedly this game is supposed to generate narratives that look like classic low fantasy Swords & Sorcery fiction...how do we actually incentivize...

Judges Guild Makes Statement About Goodman Controversy [Updated]

Not the poster, but I can confirm that Bledsaw did say that about Eisenhower "being a Jew" as part of some elaborate conspiracy to explain why Eisenhower was such a Communist or something...which was an actual John Birch Spciety talking point in the 1960s, these things do have their...

Goodman Games Revives Relationship With Anti-Semitic Publisher For New City State Kickstarter [UPDATED]

Strictly speaking, sure Judges Guild could easily be lying here. However, Goodman Games are the ones who put themselves in this position.

Judges Guild Makes Statement About Goodman Controversy [Updated]

It is a stupid cross to bear, but cannot say this is wrong from my point of view.

Judges Guild Makes Statement About Goodman Controversy [Updated]

I won't fully engage in Bledsaw's bizarre take on "keeping politics out of gaming"... But as a member myself of the gender, racial and religous grouping he is claiming to be oppressed and being pushed out of the hobby...total horse hockey. Making gaming a diverse and safe place is not kicking...

D&D 5E (2014) Quests from the Infinite Staircase: How Is It?

Really appreciate the work that went into these, it makes me very interested to get into the new Starter Set and see what you folks do with that in spite of not really needing a "beginners box" and having B2 Keep on the Borderlands already.

D&D 5E (2014) Quests from the Infinite Staircase: How Is It?

I do like those old blue-print maps quote a bit...but it makes sense to me that they chose to go with flasher maps for this release, as a vakue-add for people who still had the originals. Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, in particular, is interesting, because they are really just entirely new...

eBook Prices - Is it just me…

There is also no warehousing that needs to be cleared for digital products. And if you raise the price, you can juice sales by introducing deals once and a while...

D&D 5E (2014) Quests from the Infinite Staircase: How Is It?

They did a really good job juggling a couple big things here: preserving the parts thwt made these original modules memorable, translating them to playable 5E mechanics, and updating the really rather dated parts (Pyramid was changed quite a bit, with the help of an Egyptologist consultant for...

D&D 5E (2014) Wonder why there aren't any Elemental Domains (Earth, Air, Fire, Water)?

Princes of the Apocalypse had a suggestion to use the four Elements as deities instead of Domains for Dark Sun, IIRC, and use the standard PHB options to represent their themes. Do, a Light Domain Cleric of the Elemental Fire.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 D&D: now available for the rest of us

Depending on where it is, I believe that WotC is coming out with a number of translated editions in the next year or so.

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer to Be Priced at $29.99

Given the odd pahe number, and that Beyond lists one map, I think there may be a poster map in this, which may accoutn for the estimate difference.

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer to Be Priced at $29.99

@DavyGreenwind so, 112 pages: I think your estimates for content were generally pretty good, I reckon the campaign models and Bastions will actually be pretty ample.

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer to Be Priced at $29.99

I don't know a lot about it, but I do have a friend who is a professor of Spanish literature at a California State University, and from what he says the Portugese and Spanish approaches to the topic are kind of shocking to an American POV.

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer to Be Priced at $29.99

I have seen folks at Paizo say as much, that theory prices are deflated by needing to he competitive with WotC.
