In 4E Dark Sun, not everyone had Wild Talents IIRC. It was Feat gated.

Nah, no matter what they intend the Psion for is a ways off yet: given the history of 5E Psionics UA, they aren't going to wait until books are almost finalized to test this.

I do think it is more possible thwt these are for the FR books than that they are for Dragonlance supplement. 1% odds are greater than 0%.

Dragonmarks are also exclusive, but those are 13 Feats that are each getting a Background in Forge of the Artificer. Similarly, the section on Wild Talent Feats states that the 10 distinct Geats would be tied to Backgrounds in any book that contained them.

While fair (among the Core Classes, this is the worst with Ranger and Monk IMO)...the gap with Psion is way, waaaay more extreme. The 1E and 2E approach have basically nothing in common, barely even in concept, and the 3E approach is entirely new, as is the 4E Psionic Power. If people rally...

Sorcerer is set to stay, wince they ha eMetamagic as a Thing and a lot of momentum now. 2024 did quite a bit to boost Metamagic and make the Sorcerer feel like it fills the role of fictional magic like Channelling from Wheel of Time. Sorcerer's will stay in any future iteration.

Big issue with Psionics is that, yes, it was in every Edition...but each time was entirely different from every other time. Even 3.5 was a pretty major overhaul compared to the Core Classses. There simply isn't a "classic" to rally around.
