D&D 5E (2014) Warlock, Pact of the Blade, Melee

For maintaining concentration, possibly. Though War Caster gives other benefits as well that are more specifically geared towards spellcasting.

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock, Pact of the Blade, Melee

I imagine the War Caster feat would really come in handy for such a build, especially with a Human(Variant) who could get it for free at Level 1.

D&D 5E (2014) [GUIDE] The Outdoorsman Guide to Natural Ranging: A Rangers Guide

FYI, as best I can tell you can only take the Resilient feat once, contrary to what you wrote in the "Feats" section of your guide. The PHB says explicitly that you can only take each feat once unless the description says you can take it multiple times. For example, Elemental Adept says you can...

    D&D 5E (2014) Mid-level Versatility

You've kinda hit on one of the key aspects of the game. No one character is going to be so skilled at so many different things that they don't need to rely on their fellow party members. Especially in the level range you're talking about, before characters start to get really powerful. That...

    D&D 5E (2014) MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

I'm not sure if I'll ever have a need to use it, since I'll likely be sticking with printed copies of this sheet during actual gameplay, but how does the Heal button work when it comes to multiclass characters with different-sized Hit Dice? For example, if you have a character with 6d8 and 6d10...

    D&D 5E (2014) Any Thoughts On My Bard/Warlock Build?

I've seen charts showing which damage types are the most commonly resisted, but I don't think I've seen one showing the ones you're most likely to find enemies vulnerable(as in they take double damage) to. If you really wanted to go for a grab bag of damage cantrips, I'd probably go with...

    D&D 5E (2014) MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

Like I said, it's a minor thing, being able to export/import the actual data is itself a fantastic feature. I very much look forward to having my character printed out on this new sheet at my next D&D session this weekend :)

    D&D 5E (2014) MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

Is there any way to get the image we load in of our character to be exported into the .fdf file so that it gets auto-imported when we update to a newer version of the character sheet? I just got a hold of Foxit reader to make sure I knew how to do the export/import, and it all worked find except...

D&D 5E (2014) How to get advantage as critting great weapon fighter?

That'd probably be the most efficient combo, since there's no die roll involved in granting the advantage, the Barbarian just has to be next to the enemy. For the combo to be most effective, I'd suggest the Barbarian take the Sentinel feat so he can keep those monsters from stepping away.

D&D 5E (2014) OK, am I just missing something re: crossbow ammunition?

Ah! Didn't even see the bolt case in the equipment list for some reason, though it lists the weight of the case as 1lb. 20 bolts have a listed weight of 1.5lbs, so that would make a full case weight 2.5lbs total, yes?

D&D 5E (2014) OK, am I just missing something re: crossbow ammunition?

I don't know if I'm just not seeing something obvious or what, but I'm hoping someone can clear this up for someone who's only recently gotten back into the game. So, a quiver can hold up to 20 arrows for a bow, but I don't think I've ever seen anything about what if any storage is required for...

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock, Pact of the Blade, Melee

The ruling is pretty consistent with how they've handled other things so far. Class-specific abilities like invocations, class archetype features etc. are dependent on your class level, not total level(including ability score increases since the frequency of them varies by class). Spells "level...

D&D 5E (2014) How to get advantage as critting great weapon fighter?

The feat only gives you a single superiority die to spend on maneuvers, so you'd only get one maneuver per combat encounter at most. I doubt it's worth blowing an ASI/feat slot for, especially not early on.

D&D 5E (2014) Graceful Destruction: A Guide to Dex Based Barbarism

It's not just about how much damage you're doing on each hit, though. You also get all the other benefits that come with maxing out your Dexterity, like better Dex saves to avoid those AoE blasts from enemies, better placement in the initiative order, etc. Plus it'll be easier to max your...

D&D 5E (2014) Spells Without Attack Rolls: Can they Critically Hit?

I like that minimum damage rule as well. I assume by "minimum" you mean all die rolls treated as 1's?

    D&D 5E (2014) MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

Just wanted to voice my thanks for your work on this, I downloaded it the other day to load in the character I recently started playing, and it's AWESOME! My guy is a Fighter/Rogue multiclass, and your sheet handled everything wonderfully. I definitely intend to be using this for all my...

D&D 5E (2014) Spells Without Attack Rolls: Can they Critically Hit?

I think if you want to introduce some form of Critical Damage for spells with a Saving Throw instead of a Spell Attack, that's probably a good way to do it. Though over time it would average out to very similar numbers, wouldn't it? If you assume average die roles over double the number of dice...

D&D 5E (2014) Working on a Wood Elf Fighter/Rogue archer, with a likely 15-level cap, looking for suggestions

I considered it, but I wanted to stick with a non-spellcasting role this time around. Whether it's pen & paper or computer games, I play casters quite a bit, I wanted to shake things up. :) There are definitely some spellcasting classes I want to try out with future characters, though. Might be...
