RPG Evolution: The Bloody Pit of Horror

Confusing article. The lack of introduction made it very hard to understand what was even its premise. Basically you are looking at works of fiction in the public domain and adapting them as D&D adventure pitches. This first one feels like a very odd inclusion... scrapping the abyssal bottom...

Pathfinder 1E The dex-based fighter, how does he fare?

Over 10 years! That's some might thread necromancy right there.

    WOIN Meet the Grey Fellowship

I haven't read anything of WOIN, and I didn't think much of it, but these premade character's stats and abilities look intriguing. I might give it a try.

    RPG Evolution: The Pit Problem

An interesting premise for an article, squandered on a barebones analysis of spells by level. Yes, Talien, I know that a wizard can use "Stoneskin" to mitigate the damage of a pit trap. I though you were going to look into the system itself, silly me. A pit is spotted. How far can a lvl 1...

Gloomhaven RPG Crowdfunder Hits $1M In First Hours

But for DMs who have no minis whatsoever (my case, for example), it's a great deal! So, yeah, I guess it's a better deal for some people than others.

Gloomhaven RPG Crowdfunder Hits $1M In First Hours

For around 400 bucks you can get over 600 miniatures. That alone is worth it if you can afford it, IMHO.

Pathfinder 2E Take A Look At Pathfinder Remaster's Edicts & Anathema

Uh, I like that feat. I also think it's about time PF (or all RPGs, for that matter) discarded the alignment system. "Edicts" and "Anathema" don't sound like anything groundbreaking, but just distancing the system out of alignment is a noble goal in and of itself, IMHO.

Worlds of Design: Too Much Dice?

Inisghtful, yet basic, article about an ofentimes overlooked aspect of RPGs. Looking forward to part 2!

    RPG Evolution: Are RPGs Art?

You also can't win Tetris nor Pac-man. Would you not call them "games"?

    RPG Evolution: Are RPGs Art?

This question was settled decades ago. Games aren't art, they are a medium. Bland article.

Pathfinder 2E What Are The Changes In Pathfinder Remastered?

Interesting. Seems to be a bit more deep than what I originally thought based on earlier news.

Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game Starter Set at Target

I'm a bit torn on this. On the one hand, TTRPGs go mainstream. That's both good and bad, yes, but I think mostly good. On the other hand, some kid is going to get this for their birthday, get all exited, and then they'll find out that you can't really learn how to play TTRPGs just from reading...

Paizo Paizo's Organized Play Orc Now Always Available

This is by far the cringiest, most "how do you do fellow kids" thing Paizo has ever done. And that's saying a lot.

WOIN Open-Licensed WOIN Starter Set Coming in 2023

Hard pass. Thinking you can do 3 radically different settings with the same system is folly. Well, don't get me wrong, you can do it. But not well.
