    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

Your own link shows his his greatest achievement in non-disability sports was placing 16th out of 51 in the 2012 Olympics. But even assuming he won 4 Olympic silver medals, his legs are highly specialized for that particular task (mid range running on a flat track) and would struggle to do the...

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

That page+ of that kind of discussion is why i think just skipping trying to "justify" whatever by twisting the setting and/or its details into knots is the better option. I mean, in most settings the halfling god(s) made halflings work the way they do, if you must have an "in universe"...

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC Dungeons & Dragons 2020 Product Survey

It doesn't hurt to be thorough, but i think those numbers were pretty clear to see for everyone. I think they're extremely conservative about adding whole new classes to 5e, even for someone like Mercer.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC Dungeons & Dragons 2020 Product Survey

I was really surprised they didn't have Critical Role/Wildemount/Exandria up on the setting list for younger players. Especially since it's now officially official.

    D&D 5E (2014) Bad Wrong Fun

I don't enjoy PvP in general but Adversarial (DM VS PC) play is generally the thing i hate the most.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC Dungeons & Dragons 2020 Product Survey

Looking up anything is way faster online on a tablet than going through a book. I don't think i could ever go back to electronic free.

D&D General Www.tsr.com is dead after all these decades

Since TSR became defunct, an entire generation of DnD fans have been born, grown up, fallen in love with the game, and possibly had kids of their own who they are or will soon teach the game too. Imagine that.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

As i was mentioning earlier, it's best to just ignore setting logic. No need trying to twist it into a pretzel. People want to see (actually) disabled characters for representation purposes and that's OK. It's the same with sexism. I generally hate settings that try to twist themselves to...

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC Dungeons & Dragons 2020 Product Survey

I agree with you in principal, but they are working quite tightly with up and coming "stars" in the field like Matt Mercer.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC Dungeons & Dragons 2020 Product Survey

I'm glad they had that! The game as it is needs people to want to DM and to have fun doing it for it grow and prosper further. Especially for some Anniversary type stuff they might have coming up, i can see them doing a Marvel style "Based on the XYZ by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson"

Level Up (A5E) Do you want more monster complexity?

I think it's absolutely critical. Giving players more options is pointless if intended opposition doesn't match.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

Of course they can. I think it's pretty clear people are imagining "super phantom arms" and other negating concepts.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

The scene where his long-time friend, aid, and partner Foggy learns that he can, in fact, "see" (The world on fire scene) is very powerful and well done. It does also however, represent an example of "non-disability-disability".

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

Daredevil is the main character in the seen-by-millions tv show of the same name, which discusses his "disability" and lack-thereof within the story.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

Where magic is real, why are there disabilities at all? Ultimately it's a question of representation rather than setting logic. I personally don't actually feel the need to be "represented", i'd rather just play as a normal person. But some people do, and that's cool too. What i find offensive...

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

If you negate the disability, they stop being disabled. Again, see Daredevil, and similar characters.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Inclusivity for People with Disabilities

I actually think the wheelchair there is pretty cute, since i feel very strongly about the fact that a "disabled" character who has supernatural/supertech that effectively completely negate their disability does not in fact count as "disabled" representation.

    D&D 5E (2014) Suggestion: Broken?

Suggestion is designed to be DM dependent to allow for a flexible power-scale depending on what is appropriate for your story. It's not "broken", and some of the actually broken spells should probably be designed more like Suggestion.

D&D General Do you care how about "PC balance"?

That's silly. Those ogres only exist because the DM decided they do in the numbers they do. There could be any number of them. It's the same with Dragons. You could have one just drop down and roast a level 1 party because "that's the "Real" World, it's not balanced by level" but that's not big...

    D&D 5E (2014) Large Reach

I'd probably be fine with Large sized weapons on the condition of no Power Attack feats, that does make sense.
