    Knowledge[Local] : How Local?

What can Knowledge (Local) help you find out which Gather Info can not? What is the main difference between them? Just time? I mean, Knowledge (Local) is stuff that your character would already know about the area, and Gather Info would be your character asking others (NPCs) about the area...

    Small Weapons?

Yes, the spear and other reach weapons do the same thing. I was just using the Spiked Chain because it has a lot more versatility (being able to attack 5' and 10' away). I don't think it is a "big problem". The original poster (and others) were complaining how it was silly to have rules...

    Small Weapons?

The only penalty I am taking is a -2 to hit. The fact that the weapon does 1d6 instead of 2d4 isn't a penalty. That is the damage the weapon does. However, I am also gaining a lot of flexability. I can maintain a good distance from the opponent w/o the chance to get hit, and if the enemy...

    Small Weapons?

Yes, if I wanted to go the 2 weapon route. Only -2 if I wanted to just use one spiked chain and a shield. Again, no big deal for a fighter.

    Knowledge[Local] : How Local?

I've always used it in the same manner I would use a Gather Info check.

    Needing a Feat

Yeah, but neither is either of those feats necessary when you are at +20... :D Besides. Once my Con gets to about 14 (including all bonuses, even from feats) I usually stop putting points into it...

    Small Weapons?

I could only get through 3 pages of this subject before I just "had" to chime in. So I apologize if this has been stated already... My main problem with the 3.5 weapon size system is when it comes to Reach weapons. Take a look at the Spiked Chain. A Spiked Chain has a 10' reach and does 2d4...

    Multiple flamings on a weapon???

But like bonuses do not stack. A +1 enhancement bonus does not stack with another +1 enhancement bonus. That is why you need to spend extra money to make it +2...

    Manyshot & True Strike

I thought that was reprinted in a 3.5 book (non-core).

    [CAd] Scout skirmish ability...

Would it work for a mounted archer (horse moves 10 ft and you still get full attack with bow) Or how about a halfing riding on a dog {with a bunch of halfling skiprocks two weap fighting, rapid shot } pelting an opponent as he circles him at 6th level. That would be 3 attacks with extra 2d6 on...

Anyone know why i can reply but not start a thread of my own???

    Manyshot & True Strike

Isn't there a bow that gives the user True Strike? You still activate it every other round, so again you'd be firing Manyshot off every other round. 1 round to active True Strike on the bow, one round to fire.

    Putting "Vorpal" on a bow

I always thought a Vorpal Sap would be cool... Take 3 points of subdual damage... your head falls off...

    Simple monk question

Yeah, but the Monk has far more "powers" and far more useful powers than a Paladin. Don't ya think?

maybe be a very basic bow question

In 3.5 they got rid of "mighty" bows. They are not just Composite Bows with a Strength modifer to damage anywhere between +0 and +5, just as "mighty" bows used to be in 3.0. Another difference is, if you Strength modifier doesn't meet the modifier of the composite bow, you'll take a -2 to hit...

    sneak attack with ranged attack?

Which is fine, the Rogue is threatening the opponent with his Rapier and the Fighter gets his +2 to hit for flanking. When it comes time for the Rogue to attack, whether or not he gets a Sneak Attack will depend on what weapon he uses. If he uses a melee weapon that he threatens with (such as...
