The Case For Castles & Crusades

Very well said. I wish more gamers were open for trying C&C.

    Starter Set - $16.99

You're probably right, but even if they could release a small sheet of the counters with the tile sets as them come out, i think it would really be popular. Just think if they were to add "spell effect" tiles as well !!!! Wouldn't it be great to have a handfull of "web" tiles or "grease" tiles...

    Starter Set - $16.99

I'm a 3.Xer (I know, bad juju and all that), but I going to get one (possibly two), just for the monster tokens alone. Thanks Scott (from a 3.Xer :D) I must admit, I'm actually excited for a new D&D product for the first time in awhile!!! I wish WotC would come out with an occasional sheet of...

Pathfinder 1E Lisa Stevens, CEO of Paizo, commenting about ENWorld

Yup, ditto here. I usually only stop by now and then to see if there is any good PathFinder news, but usually there isn't. All I see is the same 4th edition threads repeated over and over. I remember coming here almost everyday and seeing great new ideas and suggestions. Not much...

That's it; I am done buying minis'!

Yup, that's where I always go. Mostly to get commons and uncommons. I've found I can usually get a good handful (20-30 mins) of commons/ uncommons for the same price as a booster or two. Sure...it means not getting rares, but I'll just snipe on ebay for the ones I want and get them for a fair...

I'm not switching to 4th ed, but I'd still be buying Dragon and Dungeon magazine

I just wanted to chime in and say that even though I'm not playing or switching to 4th Edition, I would still be purchasing Dragon and Dungeon magazine, if just for the enjoyment of reading them. I continue to believe that the loss of the magazines was a big mistake for Wizards. If the print...

    The Incredible Hulk

I went last night with a few friends and we all loved it. I'd dare to say it was perfect and very well written. They did not over do it on all the "stuff" the Hulk could do, that is to say you did not hear "Hulk Smash" 10,000 times... I even liked it more than Iron Man!!!

Why do I complain about 4E?

I'm not trying to be rude, but there is no other way of saying it, maybe your just not as experienced as others who play or DM D&D. I have had little to no problems with the list you just cited.

What CAN'T you do with 4e?

I've got your link. Just take a look at my new thread I just put up. In 10 minutes, I've got three responses all about changing to 4th edition.

Who Did Not Like 3rd Edition Because of Too Many Fixes/Tweeks/Changes Needed to Play

Ok, I'm curious as to how many of you wanted 4th Edition so you did not have to put up with all the tweeks/fixes/house rules? FOR THE RECORD: I did not think (and still do not think) that 3.X needed/needs many fixes. I'm just curious as to how many of you thought otherwise because I was told...

What CAN'T you do with 4e?

I was being sarcastic, but that's ok!

What on earth does "video-gamey" mean?

OK. Here goes. 4th Edition feels video gamey to me because when I see a fantasy style video/computer game (i.e. WoW) I see all sorts of special effects going on during play. (that's what's suppost to happen, a video/computer game is suppost to please the eye). Now that I've gotten to play 4th...

No, I lied and made it all up...

What on earth does "video-gamey" mean?

They did not want an answer, they just wanted to argue why it's wrong to call 4th Edition a video game feel like game. It's like saying something "tastes like chicken" and being told your taste buds are wrong.

What CAN'T you do with 4e?

AHHHH Wisdom from Yoda. It's not an emotional arguement, it's fact. And now that it's true you have to write a sarcastic comment becuase you don't like what you hear. FYI: I like tweeking games, no matter what version they are. I did not say it was a bad thing.

What CAN'T you do with 4e?

Yes, but I thought the whole purpose of 4th Edition was so you did not have to "cherry-pick" anything. This was the arguement from numerous gamers who did not like 3rd edition. They kept saying, "but you have to chagne this or that, we want a system that does not need house rules" This was...

What on earth does "video-gamey" mean?

I have a valid criticsm...It feels like a video game! Nuff said.

Perhaps, but that's not what the thread is about!

What CAN'T you do with 4e?

There is one thing I don't understand. When 4th Edition was coming out, those looking forward to it were commenting on how great it was going to be to have a rule set that did not need to be tweeked or house-ruled (like 3.X was) to play... ...now that it's out, half the suggestions given in...

What CAN'T you do with 4e?

What can't 4th Edition do... ...be back wards compatable to my $2,000 worth of 3.x books.
