DM Tip Jar -- is that going too far?

I don't think it's silly at all. What's the difference between this and a convention? If my DM wanted a few $$ to cover the cost of the $20.00 adventure, paper, miniatures that match the adventure he is running, etc., I would have no problem giving him/her a few $$ a week to play. As far as...

D&D 4E What don't you like about 4E so far? (Not a rant)

I don't know where to start... I'll keep an open mind and wait to see the book when they come out, but for me personally, I don't really care for most of the changes I've seen so far and there is just too many to list, especially the Iconic changes that others have already listed...

    So...did Dragon wow you?

I so agree with this!!! They would have went a lot further if they kept the mags in print and promoted 4E instead of what they are doing now. I'm really shocked at the poor marketing of this...

    D&D 4E 4E: Manufactured Excitement

Some agreement with "two"... I'm sure I'll hear it from some of the masses, but there is a string of truth in what "two" is saying. As a person with experience in advertising, it is a FACT that numerous companies hire people to go online and hit blogs, web sites, threads like this one, etc...

[FR] Everyone take a deep breath...

I really don't care either way. I've got most of the 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 FR books. That's plenty for me until I die. For folks new to the game, I'm sure they'll enjoy the new FR books. Hasbro is just changing the time line so they have new and different books to sell to the hardcore buyers...

So what edition are you playing on a regular basis

Well... I wanted to know if some were just playing a rules set without house rules and/or if some were playing with house rules. To me they are two seperate games, ina sense. I was just curious what folks are up to.

So what edition are you playing on a regular basis

So what edition are you playing on a regular basis

I'm sure this has been done before, but I was curious as to what system folks were playing on a regular basis.

D&D 4E Is 4E winning you or losing you?

Double Dog Ditto!!! Heck...my group is still using 3.0 rules with adding things, here and there, we liked from 3.5. We call it 3.25 and have a blast playing, once a week for the past 6-7 years or so. If 4E works for some, great. However the group I play with is more concerned with putting...

    What the heck is "Unfun"?

Time consuming for you maybe. Here's how we do it. Archer: "Oh DM, I used up 13 arrows how many was I able to retrieve?" I (being the DM) answer "you were able to retrieve 7, 2 can be repaired (see I'm letting my character use his knowledge skill to fix arrows in the "dungeon of...
