don't insult the purpose of a door by locking it

true, and I think it's easy to join the party when you're a kender, they can be a pain sometimes, with the arresting and the stealing, but at least they'll never stab you in the back

don't insult the purpose of a door by locking it

i always end up as a human or dwarf in those tests, and as a rogue or fighter

don't insult the purpose of a door by locking it

that's true. I think I'll give it a try the next campaign I'm in. I don't like playing elves, dunno why, I don't feel right with them. but I love to see an elf wizard/sorcerer in action

don't insult the purpose of a door by locking it

wow, I guess I'm the only kender lover around here  my dm agrees with you. especially because a kender woudln't fit our current setting. maybe a next time p.s: they can't help if people around them are so light headed that they allow theor stuff to fall in the kender's pouch :p

don't insult the purpose of a door by locking it

LOOOOL, c'mon, you know they don't mean any harm. :p Sure they tend to drift away from the goal ( like standing guard ) and they ...... like shiny things. But you can't blame them for beeing curious about the world :p Anyway, I think I'll pass the kender this time. Our party already has...

    have players submit plot hooks?

I usually create a main story, then I ask for each character background story and I try to fit them into the main one. Other times, I may encourage the players to create their backgrounds while getting something in common. In my actual campaign, I managed to get all 3 characters in sync. They...

    Gut-feelings and new players

I totally agree. We should give the benefict of the doubt to new players. but it's always better to "test" the newcomer before letting him in the campaign. Our current ninja is a great exemple. She played a cleric (she cast a light while we were fighting an undead...), a fighter (not bad, but...

    Power Attack and Combat Expertise

cool, if you're weilding a one handed sword, with two hands you duplicate the bonus right? like, you take 5 from ba and ad +10?

    Creepy...

this thread must not die!!! neway. I think the creepiest thing I ever threw at my players was when a Necromancer was trying to create the perfect undead. For that he was stealing corpses from the local graveyard, and living people, in order to "fuse" them. A few days later, after resqueing...

gimme a hand with my dm

 I'm cooking it as a....Vegeta kind of person, someone extremly over-confident about his own strength. sounds nice. gotta check it out (we currently have like 8 books and that's all, the 3 MM, DM guide, PHB, and the rest have prestidge classes and stuff like the Dragon Rider, Samurai...

gimme a hand with my dm

i think I'll see the savage progression. The description they give about them is perfect for a character seeking revenge as my chara does "Some depraved mortals voluntarily subject themselves to evil power in hopes of becoming more like fiends, and occasionally such tampering results in a...

gimme a hand with my dm

lol how come? I haven't read all the warlock's info, but it doesn't look like a powerhouse maybe it's just the lack of experience talking

gimme a hand with my dm

hmm sounds good. let's say one would only retain the natural attacks, smite good, darkvision, the abilities increase and the 3 x p/ day darkness. how much of a LA would that be worth? Consider the loss of special abilites a punishment for betraying the kin

gimme a hand with my dm

yup. we didn't use it at the time. We started playing a few years ago and it was the first time someone thought of playing a vampire. We used the regular lvl up. he was playing a sorcerer with his vampire

gimme a hand with my dm

I want to be half-fiend since it's a long project character I've been coming up with. We were all around lvl 6 in that campaign with the vampire
