I got my invite yesterday to web version. It's a long way off from being functional. I was surprised at how buggy it is. I was thinking they were getting ready to release final version soon.

You obviously had read up on this encounter beforehand or you would have not known what level the half-dragon was and that it was a 'impossible' encounter. He could have been 1st or 2nd level for all you knew.

I was planning on running Hoard of the Dragon Queen after finishing Phandelver, but after skimming through Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle, it looks to be a much more interesting and planned out adventure. Has anyone ran this and if so, what did you think?

It says a 19 is a critical 'hit'. Not critical damage if you hit. How can it be a critical 'hit' if you do not 'hit'.

Champion in my group chose the Great Weapon Fighting ability. He rolled a 1 or 2 many times during the session and it was a huge benefit to him, a lot more than I anticipated. He actually rolled 2 1's on a critical hit once and got to reroll them and turned them into max damage.
