    Not-so happy Valentine's Day

Oh Ben be very grateful for that. Essentially we both didn't want to end it until now as it was so darn inconvenient to do so. At least we don't have kids or a house or anything big like that. It's just a tenency agreement, some cash and the rest is just stuff... At least we've never really...

How much to tip the pizza delivery guy?

Tipping in general Well I guess it depends on where you are and whats expected of you. For instance here in London most places seem to expect a tip. Sure I've got no problems giving 10% if the service is good but I'll be fu*%ed if I'm going to give 12-15% for :):):):)e service. That ain't...

    Not-so happy Valentine's Day

Well lord knows why I’m posting this here but I have to tell someone and being across the world from all my closest friends I guess it falls to you guys. My partner & I split up last night. She’s been in my life for 7 years, since I was 19. Now here I am on the other side of the world from my...

How much to tip the pizza delivery guy?

Well call me a cynic, but if your ordering a pizza from a fsat food joint you can't really expect quality. ever. Like Hype mentioned Hell is the most upmarket place in N| and they've got steadily worse over the last 5 years. Ahh I remember when there was only two of those babies and I could...

Six Nations: who's looking good for the title?

Yeah I totoally agree, they are trying to get that down in time for the WC. Hopefully (from my PoV) they don't quite get it working as well as the ABs ;) For this tournament I've decided to support the Irish. They're slick, skillful, have the best centre in the world in O'Driscoll and most...

How much to tip the pizza delivery guy?

$10 US for a pizza? Dude you are getting ripped off!!! Or at least those of you in the US are. Admittedly it’s expensive here but back home in NZ (tip free as Hype has mentioned) Dominoe’s and Pizza Hut are in FIERCE FIERCE competition. When I’m home I refuse to pay more that abour 7-8 NZ...

Six Nations: who's looking good for the title?

Last weekend? The english were good, but not THAT good. Wilko played well, Robinson was just in the right place and the right time. The one person who truly stood out for me was Harry Ellis. England now seem to have a half-back worth a damn. Not good (if you're not an english supporter)...

Shilsen's Eberron SH (Finished - The Last Word : 9/20/15)

Argg tell me about it. They had that game done and dusted. For once the top order did okay (and by that I mean Flemo) while the middle order collapsed. That’s not the way the Black Caps work. The top order are supposed to flounder while the middle order save the day. And on Waitangi day too...

Shilsen's Eberron SH (Finished - The Last Word : 9/20/15)

Hi there Shil, seeing as today is Waitangi Day (the day of celebration for the creation of my great home nation Aotearoa) I’d REALLY appreaciate an update. Sorry I’ve been a bit reminisce on my posting – I was back home for a wedding and have been too busy to check the net really. The Tain...

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--1/28/07--Arc 12

It was an alright episode, but overall I didn't like the love quad thing either. One thing I've not appreciated during Series 2 is the disintegration of Starbucks capable side. Sure she's a wild card and a drinker and rather gung-ho. But the balance is she's supposed to be one of the BEST...

    [Feb] What are you reading?

I’m currently reading The Hollow Men, by Nicky Hager. Its an investigative journalism piece focussing on New Zealand’s National Party while under leader Don Brash. It’s essentially about how he and his aides sought to win the election through cynical and calculated politiking, and their...

Recommend A Good Sci-Fi novel to me.

I agree with David Brin. He’d my favourite Sci-Fi author. However if you are going to read these then I’d suggest reading Sundiver first. It helps to introduce the nature and political setting of the Uplift Universe. Startide Rising is probably one of my favourite books ever…

Red Hand of Doom questions (Part 1 spoilers)

You know this jarred with me the most. Here’s the PCs going down the only trade road in the vale and there’s a HYDRA parked up next to it. Sounds to me like there wouldn’t be much trade getting through past Drellin’s Ferry if you ask me. If there was a Hydra there, then the locals would have...

2006 WotC D&D Product Survivor - Player's Handbook II is the sole survivor!

Apart frmo campaiign setting books (ECS) this is QFT. I'm a bit fan so it's nice to see the PHBII powering away in the votes. As I've said before, FC II (&I) might be slightly 'better' in some ways but in terms of their impact on the game and the majority of people who play our hobby, it's...

Yowzahh. I'm going to guess that the answer is "not well". So did they actually out and out kill those fool's down to -10. If so that's pretty bloodthirsty. But then again the they are 11th level. the ability to deal massive amounts of damage is high... Bring on the updates I demand it for...

Cue the Choir (Final Battle music)

Just as an interesting aside, one of my old flatmates back home - her boyfriend (now fiancee I beleive) was in the choir that sung that music. oh and agree -0 that is one very very cool piece of fantasy inspired music.

    2006 WotC D&D Product Survivor - Round 15

Complete Mage is alright. I don't have either of the FC's so I can't really comment. But to me the stand out book was PHB II. Sure it's not that useful to those who have been playing 15 years + or whatever but its a great book for a) new character options (those replacement class abilities...

    City Survivor - round 7!

I voted for Ptolus for one reason and one reason alone. Sharn is gone. If the eberron city has to go then so does Ptolus. The Dark Six require it

    fey'ri

for what its worth I've never used Fyi-ri either but then again I don't *do* subraces and twinked out uber-elves with wings. I'm never allowed, nor had anyone ask to play a Fey-ri in any of my groups. YMMV though.
