    D&D Movie/TV Dungeons & Dragons 3 Movie Trailer

It is like SyFy is trying to outdo D&D in the stupid monster department. Hell, they ought to run an week long A-Z Monster Manual Movie Marathon leading up into the premiere of D&D3:BOVD. Their own films cover most of the alphabet. Abominable Anacondas: Trail of Blood Baal: The Storm God...

    D&D Movie/TV Dungeons & Dragons 3 Movie Trailer

Great, they are reusing the mud and dirt dragon from the second movie.:hmm: AT least Battleship had an FX budget and some picture quality. This dingy, desaturated POS hurts to look at even before the CG.

I like getting fresh sushi, not sushi getting fresh.

Is smite damage affected by DR?

Smiting with a +1 flaming sword in 3.5 would only deal 1d6 fire with the rest being magic slashing damage. IIRC it is 4E where flaming weapons can deal pure fire damage.

D&D 4E Did the Errata to 4e Fix it ??

No, all the piles of errata did IMHO was to prove how much more editing the books needed before printing. It felt like to me Wotc was selling hardcover playtest documents.

Pathfinder 1E Sticker shock, or Why Paizo and Other Online Vendors have sent me back to Mead

Agree with the OP, way too many online sellers fail to offer parcel post and media mail when those are options. It is disgraceful.

White Dwarf: The First 100 issues. A Read-Through and Review.

Don't expect to see many gaming magazines in electronic archives in the USA. The Tasini decision means the owners would have to track down all the individual article authors and negotiate the electronic rights. Tasini Decision - LexisNexis Academic Knowledge Center New York Times Co. v. Tasini...

D&D 4E What 4E Books to Get Rid Of

And not everyone is confident that wotc will keep their 4E material online after 5E goes live. Basing what to keep on what wotc will still have online in the future is a gamble.

To Kill or Not to Kill (PCs): That is the Question...

Dice must fall where they may. If the group wants players to survive where they should have otherwise died, they can bring in Fate Points.

D&D 4E What 4E Books to Get Rid Of

Keep the tiles and tokens, maybe Dark Sun, pawn the rest if the price is respectable or just give them to someone. I've found resale prices are usually so low one gets more 'value' giving them away to a cousin, nephew/niece or friend's kid.

    Rule-of-Three: 06/12/2012

As far as leaving melee, I'd make it painful. I'd also roll withdraw into the dodge action. Like so... If you use your move to leave base to base contact with an enemy; that enemy gets to make an attack on you with advantage. This does not occur if you are using the Dodge action.

    The Dodge Action is Amazing

Because they feel the dodge action now gives a significant enough bonus to take the action. Adds to saves Math is flatter so now a +4 is significant Can move

    Awfully Alarmed About Armour

Problem with that is then humanoid's armor becomes unintended treasure. If a fighter can't afford plate armor really soon into the first or second adventure, then humanoid foes who should have heavier armors wind up walking around in way too many GPs. IMNSHO 60GP plate mail is superior to 700gp...

Dungeon Survival Book - any good ?

Nearly all message board pay lip service in their rules about not breaking copyright laws, not every board actually enforces said rules. Some users sometimes haven't seen how fast how fast such threads go >klunk< around here.

    Prometheus [Spoilers]

It feels very inspired by "classic Sci-Fi" though! Loved how the Steller map scene looked pulled from the cover of an old school sci fi book. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17p5n4u02zqcejpg/original.jpg Yeah, the movie could have done without the Too dumb to live scene.

D&D 5E (2014) D&D Next Art Column: June! And July!

On the subject of art Article (The Making of an Owlbear) had a bit on how to interpret just what an "owlbear" is. IMHO too much "killer ape" has been injected into recent owlbear designs. While this one is more interesting, it REALLY is moving away too far from both owl and bear. So far my...
