What Happens If CODENAME: MORNINGSTAR Doesn't Fund?

I'm happy with the status quo. Bye.

    D&D 5th Edition Monster Manual

5 out of 5 rating for D&D 5th Edition Monster Manual A superb new version of a venerable classic D&D book, this edition of the Monster Manual delivers on almost every count. From the painted-style, beautiful layout to the lush monster illustrations to detailed statblocks and monster ecologies...

    Hoard of the Dragon Queen

3 out of 5 rating for Hoard of the Dragon Queen A great read but very difficult to run. You'll have to read this 2 or 3 times before you grok all the moving parts as most of it is written in a conversational style that makes it tricky to pull out key info during the game. I suggest you take...

    D&D 5th Edition Player's Handbook

5 out of 5 rating for D&D 5th Edition Player's Handbook An excellent new edition that melds the best ideas from 1st, 3rd and 4th editions of D&D into a masterpiece. Full of fun concepts for characters, some new and forgotten spells and superb illustrations throughout. The focus on roleplaying...

Pathfinder 1E is a big Pathfinder surge on the way?

People seem to forget that new players often enter the hobby via recommendations from friends, some of them online. The forums I frequent get a lot of questions along the line of "hai guyz i want to play some dnd, which edition should I get" and most responses until recently were "PF or 4E". Now...

    Is D&D "Rubbish"?

He's absolutely right. D&D was never very good and now 4E is a just a bad skirmish game with nonsensical boardgame rules.

Did WotC underestimate the Paizo effect on 4E?

Though I was never a huge fan of 3.5, WotC's 4E marketing campaign was quite insulting. They "fired" their existing customers and Paizo snapped them up with superior customer service, great production values and good deals. That was a huge mistake on WotC's part, and one they're now trying to...

What do people play more of nowadays?

Changeling: The Lost and CthulhuTech. Got really tired of standard D&D fantasy.

Best Version of Call of Cthulhu

You may want to check out CthulhuTech at some point. It's "poker-dice" mechanic is interesting and the world is crazy-fun.

Photos of the new Gnome (PHB2)

Whatever these mini-elves may be, they certainly don't look like gnomes to me. I think I'll stick with my santa clauses with red conical hats, thanks.

    Classics of Fantasy

Since my original reply was eaten long ago by the great Database Crash Dragon, I'd like to once again bump this thread and thank mmadsen (and Mr. Ratecliffe, of course) for bringing these books to our attention. This list rekindled my love of fantasy at a time when I had grown bored of it, and...

Maldin, Mordenkainen, and Secrets of the Circle of Eight

Awesome stuff. That great betrayal always gnawed at me and it's nice to see some more motivation behind the Circle of Eight than just "balance good and evil". Cheers!

What Would Get You to Subscribe to Dungeon?

    A printed, hardcopy magazine...dammit.

    Welcome to ENWorld 2

Nice speed upgrade. That's great. The new look is not very good though. Having to click through to a new page for each news item, no matter how minor, does indeed defeat the point of a news page. It's very annoying. Looking forward to the new skins, as the current one is...not pretty.

Which version of D&D or D&D-like will you be playing by the end of 2008 ?

I'd like to be playing Pathfinder by the end of 2008, but it's not really up to me.

Gary Gygax has passed. RIP beloved father of RPG's. (merged)

The Outer Planes beckon, the Grand DM answers, and the greatest adventure awaits. Thanks for opening up so many worlds of the imagination. Godspeed, Gary Gygax, and see you on the other side.

Thanks, Scott. Very classy, and the fastest response to an online petition I have ever seen in my entire life.

    So, who has Delta Green?

I own the original DG, and I used to hang out on the mailing list a long time ago. Even had a DG minisite up for a while. Neat game, never really got the chance to run it though.

    Wilderlands Roll Call!

Own it more as an investment and reading material than anything I'd ever run, but it is fun to skim through.
