PC Death and Returning - House Rule Penalties

Hey, all. I wanted a bit of a harsher death penalty in my DnD5e game to make things a bit scarier and more serious for my players. Take a look and let me know what you think and what you'd tweak or change. Thanks so much! http://worldbuilderblog.me/2014/09/11/you-only-live-thrice/

    New races and subraces

I'm not SUPER familiar with Pathfinder dhampirs, but it seems like a lot of their abilities (unsurprisingly) revolve around undead. I could take a crack at it, but need some more time!

    New races and subraces

That's a really cool idea. They're going to be in the DMG apparently, so it will be cool to see how it turns out!

    5e Submarines

Hey all! My campaign world calls for the ability to explore and mine underwater so I wrote up some stats for submarines. Let me know what you think of the mechanics and story! http://worldbuilderblog.me/2014/09/04/we-all-live-in-a-dragonborn-submarine/

D&D 5e Backgrounds - Farmer, Tinkerer, Demolitions Expert, and Harvester

Thanks for the feedback! The Mech proficiency comes from my setting, but folks can easily sub that out with another tool or language if they want. I do need a way for my players to take the Mech proficiency if they want. I agree demolitions expert is setting specific, but that's what I was...

Classic PC Races for 5e - Warforged, Shifter, and more

I didn't think of that, but that's kind of a really great way to go!

Classic PC Races for 5e - Warforged, Shifter, and more

Hey, many thanks for the feedback! I pulled the Mul life span from a PDF on athas.org, Dark Sun Core Rules - The Burnt World of Athas I think the races you're reading with the +1 Wisdom bonus are actually SUBraces (svrifneblin of gnome and duergar of dwarf). You can get the main race stats in...

Classic PC Races for 5e - Warforged, Shifter, and more

I hear ya. I may cut out cold, but I think lightning is good to keep, because PCs rarely face radiant damage the way they might face fire, which the tiefling resists.

Classic PC Races for 5e - Warforged, Shifter, and more

Hahahahaha. That's fair, but I didn't want folks to think the races I was offering were completely original either. The Eberron races are only 10 years old, but some of the others are definitely classic status to me. Maybe not iconic to D&D as a whole, but definitely classic in my mind.

Classic PC Races for 5e - Warforged, Shifter, and more

Hey all, I was wondering if you could give me your opinions of some of the homebrew races I've created for my players. The story stuff is for my home campaign, but let me know what you think of their mechanics. Aasimar: http://worldbuilderblog.me/2014/07/24/city-of-aasimar/ Deva, Mul...
