    v3.5 Core Books on sale!

I'm just curious what the cost of Adamantium Weapons and Armor is now? It would seem they should be more expensive as they seem to be one of the highest forms of DR bypassing and they have different abilities. Do Adamantium weapons still give an enhancement bonus? Thanks in Advance! Delgar

Bag of Rats Cheese ... No More!!!

The main problem was that having lower level flunkies around with a BBEG was a liabilty not a help. Whirlwind attack: Attack flunkie, kill flunkie, cleave into BBEG; Whirlwind attack flunkie, kill flunkie, cleave into BBEG, Whirlwind attack flunkie, kill flunkie, cleave into BBEG, rinse lather...

Identify: Bard1, magic2, sor/wiz1 casting time 1 hour the spell determines all magic properties of a single magical item, icluding how to activate those functions (if appropriate) and how many charge are left. Does not work on artifacts. Pearl 100gp + other stuff. Not sure if this has been...

D&D 3.x [3.5] Threat ranges no longer stack!

Oops I guess I didn't quite make my point clear in the last message. I think that there were a few things that needed to be cleaned up in the old edition to stop the powergamers and munchkins from eating the system alive. Also with the living campaigns they depend wholly on the Core Rules, so...

D&D 3.x [3.5] Threat ranges no longer stack!

making house rules is all fine and dandy for your own home campaign, but for the living campaigns it doesn't fly. If they want to tone down the living campaigns then they have to tone down the rules. Basically all of the rule changes I've seen so far have been heavily abused in the living...

    [3.5] Rangers lose medium armor!

Just because the feats a ranger gets are "Virtual" doesn't mean that he can't wear heavy armor. It's a choice the Ranger will have to make. By making the choice he's loosing his "Virtual" feats which is not optimal, but as far as I'm concerned Role-Playing has nothing to do with Optimizing a...

Are they fixing medium armor in the revision?

Basically there are only three types of armor that generally get worn just because they are optimal. Chain Shirt +4 AC +4 Max Dex (light armor) -2 skill check Breastplate +5 AC +3 Max Dex (Medium Armor) -3 Skill check Full Plate +8 AC +1 Max Dex (Heavy Armor) -ungodly amount skill check...

What is a character with a 6 INT, 6 CHA, and 8 WIS like?

This is a powergaming fighter with a low stat roll! It's tough to role-play a bunch of low stats and not a lot of fun. That's just my opinion though. Delgar

How often do you game/How much is too much?

I GM twice a week for the same group, two seperate campaigns. I occasionally play Living Greyhawk once a month, although that has dwindled into nothingness lately. Delgar

The optimal number of participants (player AND DM)!

It's not much of a game if you don't have at least 2 people including a DM! Of course you can always run your multiple personalities through I game I suppose. I'm for 4-5 people including the DM, not too many that everyone can pay attention and not too few to keep the challenges fun and...

    Revision Spotlight (6/17)

I think it's the feat pre-requisites and conditions that make it not so powerful. Although it's campaign specific, in all the campaigns I've played (and reading your Wulf story hour, and Piratecat's story hour), missle combat is just not as prevalant as melee combat. The PC's tend to use...

    Revision Spotlight (6/17)

I hate to have to disagree with Wulf, him being my hero and all! :) Your using a situation that seems far too unlikely to happen to nix a feat. First of all 1st level monks don't get deflect arrows, 2nd level monks do and I believe they get a choice so some may have it some may not. The odds...

To RoytheOdd, here's a thread for questions and answers

Could you give a brief rundown of the DC's for the ride skill? Could you give a brief overview of Mounted Combat? I'm still interested in knowing how the specific combat actions work, Bull Rush, Trip, Sunder, Grapple? Delgar

    Poor sword and shield?

The shield spell in 3.5 provides a SHIELD BONUS and no longer a cover bonus to armor class. So it will stack with your armor but not your shield. Delgar
