    D&D 5E (2014) T h u n d e r w a v e AND opportunity attack !

Nope, forced movement never produces OA.

Unearthed Arcana Unearthed Arcana probably coming to D&D website (Reddit AMA)

My guess is, after the 4e shutdown by Hasbro, they're expecting a lot less of revenue form RPG books and they're focusing on diversification. We'll probably get a lot of stuff on many fronts with the D&D brand on it, but not necessarily lots and lots of splatbooks.

D&D 5E (2014) Published Adventures: Yea or Nay?

I like 'em, though in the past I seldom ran published adventures and just mined them for ideas. Nowadays, free time is scarce, so I'm determined to run them by the book if possible.

Houserule: can no-armour provide a bonus?

    A +1/+2 sounds good to me! :)

D&D 5E (2014) How Close do you stick with the Game As Written?

I play it was written unless I have a reason to change stuff. I don't like to change rules for change's sake.

D&D 5E (2014) Do you Consider Flavor Text to be part of Raw?

I consider FAW (fluff-as-written) useful so that all players are on the same page from the outset and know what to expect of the game in advance, nothing more. If I deviate a lot, I'll let the players know in advance.

D&D 5E (2014) Death Domain and Oathbreaker preview

Yes, but Jeremy Crawford mentioned by Tweeter that the Index previewed was not final. Who knows what else is not final?

    D&D 5E (2014) RACES: D&D 5E Races That Should Be Core Races

I'd love to see Genasi, my second favorite race. Everything else is icing on the cake to me.

D&D 5E (2014) Death Domain and Oathbreaker preview

Yeah, I really hope the real thing (AFAIK, this is still in progress) replaces the Death Cleric's ability from Turn to Command Undead. It would be an odd choice not to do it.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeon Master’s Guide vs Monster Manuel

I'd choose the Manuél, hands down!

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Basic DM rules updated

This. IME, even though I didn't run high level encounters yet, combats in 5e rarely last more than 10 rounds- and more often than often are finished by the fifth round or so. Mooks, even purely HP-bags style of mooks who just exist to be damaged, mean the PCs have to choose between wasting...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rise of Tiamat review

HotDQ is definitely way less open that those two you mentioned, while RoT hits somewhere in the middle: it's open enough for characters to drift from the main storyline, as long as its within the boundaries of "we fight the Cult of the Dragon!". Final episode feels very scripted, though!

Ditto, I think RoT is much better than HotDQ. Well, different strokes and all that...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

Yeah, I don't want to be mean to the folks at Trapdoor because they're cool people who seem to genuinely love the hobby, but after a few hours of beta testing the web version it was clear to me the app was way too green to be released for a while. For DS to become a product that's good enough to...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

I'm curious: why did you pre-order the DMG if WotC was explicitly not going to sell PDFs anytime soon and DungeonScape was going to be a paid service? You could just have bought access without having the physical book. Yeah, it's worth noting that WotC's indexes tend to be pretty good, at least...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

Maybe I'm too optimistic, but to me this looks like a setback. I risk to say we'll definitely get an official online character generator and compendium at some time. I doubt the line will crash and burn for a temporary lack of digital tools- most gamers I know IRL play strictly without them.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

I have a hunch WotC will rehash DDI for 5e.

D&D 5E (2014) How do you feel about the Forgotten Realms?

I like it, in spite of its flaws, though this is probably because I never suffered the misfortune of having a Realms-lawyer at my table.
