What Does a "Successful" RPG Look Like?

It's the only definition that works. All the others are far too fluffy. Clap! Clap if you believe in Cyborg Commando! See? It's not dead! It loves, so long as cybernetic warriors fighting alien bugs live in our hearts.

What Does a "Successful" RPG Look Like?

Dead to me means the game is no longer in publication. I don't care if people play it. If we go by that standard, there's no way to truly determine if a game is dead because we don't know for sure whether someone is playing it.

Where’s The Deathstalker RPG? Part 1

I don't remember Krull being a particularly good movie. I pretty much have zero warm and fuzzies towards it myself.

What Does a "Successful" RPG Look Like?

It’s possible for a successful product to die. WEG’s Star Wars was quite successful so far as I can tell, yet it is dead, dead, dead.

What Does a "Successful" RPG Look Like?

You can’t use the likes of Beyoncé or Queen as your standard for a successful musical. I prefer a somewhat objective definition. If the game made a profit then it was successful.

Where’s The Deathstalker RPG? Part 1

Sometimes I think if I went to one of your games I'd come back home with a black eye and missing my wallet.

Where’s The Deathstalker RPG? Part 1

For Deathstalker in particular, I don't think it's the adult content per se people have a problem with so much as the source material's protagonist engaging in sexual assault, sometimes for laughs. I do agree there's a place for rated R games though.

Where’s The Deathstalker RPG? Part 1

It's been a while since I saw Deathstalker, I must have been seven or eight years old when I first saw it (my parents didn't like me), and my immediate thought was, "Who is clamoring for a Deathstalker game?" Did the movie have excellent worldbuilding giving us plenty of fodder for a setting...

D&D General Satanic Panic at the Disco- Did Beelzebubba Cause D&D's First Crash, Y'all?

For obvious reasons, we tend to focus on D&D when it comes to the Satanic Panic around here, but RPGs were just a tiny part of the panic. Whenever I hear someone say how stupid people were a few centuries ago for believing in witches I just point to the 1980s.

D&D General Satanic Panic at the Disco- Did Beelzebubba Cause D&D's First Crash, Y'all?

I've made Pulling the butt of some jokes in the past, but as I've gotten older I started feeling more sympathy for her. To lose a child is difficult enough, but when it's suicide it can be especially difficult. Was there something I could have done? Was there something I missed? I can't help...

    WoD renaming, White Wolf returns

I actually haven't played any Palladium game since sometime before I graduated from high school. i.e. It's been more than thirty years. I do remember seeing ads for Mechanoids Space though.

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

I had intended to take pictures of the bear as it was a work in progress. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of step number three which was the ugly phase of the process. The ugly phase is the part of your paint job where it looks like you've ruined it, but you gotta just keep going and...

    WoD renaming, White Wolf returns

Now you guys are making me sad the very existence of Eden Studios is tenuous at best. They were really ahead of the curve with All Flesh Must Be Eaten.
