Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

A little more progress. Since these chibi figures have giant heads, I thought I could work on my skin game a bit. That last sentenced didn't sound so creepy in my head. With women, I have a hard time doing makeup. "Well women don't need makeup, you sexist jerk, you!" I know, I know. They...

    Spoilers Daredevil: Born Again (Spoilers)

Considerably less bad than who? He demonstrated a willingness to murder unarmed people to achieve his mission goals. This was an intelligent, ruthless man who was in control of his actions the whole time. He also held his own against Murdoch during their fight which is why it ended in such a...

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

I'm a big fan of their metallics for airbrush. I don't think I've used any of their other metallics.

Compare The Market's Tabletop Gaming Survey

I think of it as aspirational consumption. i.e. I sure hope I get to play this. The thing with board games, is that a lot of people will play one regularly until they don't. I used to be able to find a game of Puerto Rico or Settlers of Catan quite easily, but I haven't seen anyone playing...

    Spoilers Daredevil: Born Again (Spoilers)

I am having a very difficult time reconciling your description of what happened with what I saw with my own eyes. This was not a simple theft where lives were not endangered. This was a robbery committed by well armed men, who deliberately threatened the lives of unarmed people, and assaulted...

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

I don’t think I’ve ever really reviewed a product, at least not with any formality. While at a local hobby shop, I spied a set of Wood & Leather colors from Vallejo. I'm not very good at painting leather, I just keep falling flat, so for about $35 for a set of 8, or $4.40 for each color, I...

    Spoilers Daredevil: Born Again (Spoilers)

Daredevil is a vigilante, what do you expect him to do? Dude had already committed a violent, public-endangering crime, so why let him go so he can do it again?

D&D General Arby's branded polydice sell out in less than 2 hours

I just went to Arby's for lunch today. If they were selling these at the store I might have bought some.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I think you missed my point. The point is that I'm not hesitant because I mistrust Free League it's because the future is so uncertain. i

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

This is all a lot to process, so in my preoccupation over what this meant for consumers, and more importantly me, I didn't even think of local retailers here in the United States until now. My local game store sells collectible card games, board games, role playing games, miniatures games...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I like Steve Jackson Games, and this isn't meant as a dig against them, but I'm saddened that a game company seems to know more about how the economy works than those who are in control of policy.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

Completely expected by everyone except those who think tariffs are a magical way to make the country rich. Domestic companies can raise their prices and still be competitive because they'll still be cheaper than foreign alternatives. I expect what few RPG purchases I make in 2025 will be PDFs.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

This is pretty much how tariffs work and this is expected by everyone except those who are currently pushing for them. As far as gaming goes, part of my decision not to participate in the current Alien Kickstarter is because of the uncertainty of the current economic climate. I don't even know...

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

Ok, it’s been a while since I’ve said anything about technique. This is a wolf (dire?) from WizKids. I painted this a few years back, but it was so bad I stripped it and just repainted it. I generally don't like WizKids miniatures, but this one is textured well enough that it makes for a good...
