I think no one is responding to your suggestion because everyone but Anariel is on the bridge talking with the Jedi Master, while you and her are standing in the airlock. You couldn't really open communications from there, I don't think. At least that's what I think...

I don't know... The way I see it, everything worked out in the end despite those instances, not because of them. Luke wouldn't have lost his lightsaber and his hand if he hadn't charged off to fight Vader against Yoda's wishes. He would have continued to train and become stronger than Vader...
