    Rolling all 18s

all npc enemies and allies faced by my pc's have the same rules applying to them. If I use pre-designed modules, I make sure all stats below 75 are raised in order to not create wimps..

    Weight

When determining your load, does normal clothing apply (traveler's outfit etc) ? or is it things you are actually carrying (weapons, armor, backpack etc). I have always calculated the clothes as gear, but I am starting to wonder if that is correct..

    Quick question about wands?

    Quick question about wands?

When using a wand, arcane spell failure by armor still counts, right?

    Scribe scroll

Re: Re: Scribe scroll That sounded like fun. I'll do that! Thanx a lot!

    Rolling all 18s

In my campaign, we use the normal method of throwing for abilities, but allows the character to reroll if it is below 75 points total. Does that make us munchkins? Just wondering... In comparison, in the Call of Cthulhu campaign, I do not allow stats above 80, as the d&d game is more a heroes...

    Rolling all 18s

way back in 1st ed d&d, a rookie player got 4 18's with multiple witnesses. We used the old 3d6 six times method. Can anyone good in mathematics calculate the odds for that happening?

    Scribe scroll

Can a Cleric 4 / Wizard 1 use his Scribe Scroll feat he receives as a 1st level wizard to scribe divine scrolls as well, or does it only apply to arcane spells?

    Werewolf psion?

Makes sense to me! I'll go with that unless somebody else points to some rule that says otherwise.

    Werewolf psion?

One of my players plays a psion. Last session he was attacked and bitten by a werewolf. He did not make his saving throw, so the result was of course that he became a werewolf as well. I guess he can still use his psi powers while in hybrid or animal form? His mental attributes are not...

    Kalamar Trilogy

In the Coin of Power trilogy, what is the DC to resist the corruptive effects of the coin? I don't know where else I can turn, and my players have nearly completed the coin..

    Damage reduction

Well, the adventure is an official one (Forging Darkness), for 3rd to 5th level characters. All my players are 4th level. I guess the hellcat is way to dangerous to kill, but they only need some of the blood to complete their mission, so I'll go for the "bleeds a little, wound closes" response...

    Question for Kalamar publishers/players/DMs

In the Coin of Power trilogy, what is the DC to resist the corruptive effects of the coin? I don't know where else I can turn, and my players have nearly completed the coin..

    Damage reduction

OK... here's the thing.. my players need to acquire some devils blood, and the choice has fallen on a hellcat... the hellcat has a damage reduction of 20/+2, and no one of the players possess such a weapon, and without a solid critical hit, they cannot dish out 20+ for damage. My question is...

    Kalamar Campaign

I'm starting up a Kalamar campaign, and since the campaign setting book does not contain any rules related information, I thought I'd ask those of you who've played in Kalamar what you did. I'm thinking in the lines of races (are there any differences between the various humans; statwise...

    Sean Reynolds Let Go

100 million play yahtzee? 100 million with no sense of pride at all? jeez.. kidding.. yahtzee may be popular, but they dont exactly sell accesories to yahtzee. I dunno how much one game costs in USA, but in Norway, you could buy at least 6 yahtzee games for the price of one players handbook. So...

    Planning character progression

I agree with Darklone. Improved Initiative is *maybe* the most useful of all feats, but doesn't fit the barbarians slow but powerful image. As for weapon focus, my players quickly found out that taking it at first level was not a good idea. Wait until you find a good magical weapon to use. A...

    Which Feat for this Tiefling?

I agree with Dr.Zoom. This will give you an INit modifier of +9, enough to win initiative most of the times. Don't spend any precious feats on the useless "+2 bonus to two skills" kind of feats. You have 10 skill points every level, you dont spend a feat for a +2 modifier. 3rd level: Improved...

What is the most interesting way you have used a monster?

For a long time ago, I found a monster on the web called Nilbog. It was a goblin who for some reason grew bigger and stronger the more damage you dealt. So in the end, my 2nd ed 10th level party ran away from a group of goblins.. even though this was five years ago, my players are always extra...

Total Defense? What else can you do?

Well, you can tumble as part of a move action, and I guess you can do the same with move silently and hide Move-equivalent actions such as drinking a potion are not allowed as far as I can tell, but I don't have any books to support my claims though..
