Are you sure? All lycanthropes are +3 ECL as far as I can see... with the extra hit die, this 3rd level paladin is the equivalent of a 7th level character, right?

It is indeed an interesting conundrum, and a situation you don't see very often. I guess I would have wanted the PHB paragraph to say whether any current conflictions were removed or not, but I guess they couldn't think of everything. I got an idea for an adventure where the characters were...

A 2nd level paladin in my group was bitten by a wererat last session. I rolled his save secretly and failed. After receiving the XP for that adventure, he levelled to 3rd level, thereby gaining immunity to lycanthropy. Question is.. he was bitten while he was still 2nd level... is he still...

I played it! Don't remember the system, but I think we probably failed to like it. I am not to keen on Conspiracy X's system either, even though the setting is probably my all-time favorite.

I have kicked out several people from my group, and managed to stay good friends with them all. If one player is ruining the fun of the rest, it's really not that hard of a choice.

What's the average level for a group with 5 2nd level pcs and 1 3rd level? 13 levels total.. divided by 5 = 2,16... two extra characters adds 1? 2?

Has anyone tried the Tenets rules from Quintessential Paladin? I have a paladin who wants to use these rules, but we both think that the rules are rather poor. I mean, paying 15 xp to atone for your misdeeds? Any thoughts?

The characters will visit a shabby, run-down hostel in search of a young woman. While there, they are contacted by a guy who freaks out because his wife is giving birth. One of the character is a cleric, so I guess he will step up. I figured out a Heal check is in order, but what DC should I set...

Does the Avariel have any race levels, like other races (aasimar, drow, etc?) Or do I have to use the -3 rules from Players Guide to Faerun.

I agree with RisnDevil in that is what it says, but DK's solution sounds more reasonable to me, that only 1 level raise is allowed per Nether Scroll set.

I just picked up Lost Empires of Faerun, and my power-hungry mad maniac of a wizard PC wants to go hunting Nether Scrolls. Is it just me, or is the artifact clumsily worded. There are two sets of Nether Scrolls, each consisting of 5 chapters a 10 scrolls each. After reading an entire chapter...
