The PHB states that anyone trying to disguise herself as a different race confers a -2 penalty on the disguise check. Surely, this must depend on the race disguised as. I mean a half-elf disguising as an elf shouldn't be penalized as much as a half-dragon trying to disguise itself as an elf or a...

Indeed.. I thought it said Outsider.. the reason I asked is because I figured Starmetal would be "poisonous" to outsiders. I mean if something caused extra damage while struck by it, it would also be at least uncomfortable holding it..

Could an Aasimar wield a Starmetal mace? I mean, the starmetal mace deals +2d6 damage to outsiders.. and an aasimar is an outsider.. but would the handle of the mace also be made of star metal? I guess this is open for interpretation though..

Yes, they gain XP after they are raised.. I asked the same question about a month ago, and the answer came straight away.. it says so in the DMG somewhere. I like the houserule about the set amount of XP loss a lot better though, and will be incorporating it in the future.
