You misunderstand me (or I didn't convey my point well enough): I don't mean that they put out version X and said that they were then starting work on version Y; I mean that they put out version X and said that they'd started work on version X the day after version W had come out.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts on it too. The basics are there, and are great, but there's not quite enough to make it satisfying.

I bought it to mine for ideas. I like some parts, but not others. I'm likely to run an OSR-style 5e game sometime soon-ish, so will bring a couple of things over from 5TD, and use other parts to inculcate thought on other things that I could do (differently to 5TD and 5e) that would add flavour.
