Wing and Sword: Life During Wartime

Normand's mind is back at where he spent his "freetime", rummaging over the treatment he got. It really was an overreaction on their part, bunch of idiots. As if I should have let those amateurs run the show. I'd do the same thing again, and they can beat me all they want. As such, his mind...

"Naw ma'am, fawr from me to disagree, but ya sure ain't lookin' like no hound, fah sure. As fawr as silver bullets.. Way I figure, that be a yankee excuse as to why what they shot badly didn't go down." OOC:will get into more details with schtuff once the thread is started.. Or are we the...

The Blue & The Grey (Intro/OOC)

Ryan coughs into his closed fist, and looks around, a look of.. Resignation on his face. "Naw sir, I reckon ya shall know right away that.. Well, I gather most of these fine folks here volunteered for this here detail? Well I guess I was sorta volunteered, iffin' ya get my meanin'? Naw I...

[Poll] Abilities: more powerful, less often or less powerful, more often?

It really depends on the rest of my character. If he already has a decent damage output, I'd go with one of the first two choices. If he's somehow lacking in damage, I'd go with the later ones.

Wing and Sword: Life During Wartime

Normand shrugs. "I don't think that would turn out too good for me. I tried to join the Navy and I ended up here."

    [d20 Modern]X-Files + James Ellroy = ?

Geographical location really wasn't a big deal for me, so LA works. I guess I'll leave the skills alone, as they work for the character.. I just thought there'd be few characters, and was worried about the lack of investigating talent, but that seems covered. So all that's left for me to...

    [d20 Modern]X-Files + James Ellroy = ?

Oh just so you know.. I was thinking back, and I'll make some small changes to his skills. I realized that, as he stands, he'd really suck at, you know.. Investigating. :) I'll also consider that feat you mentioned, and select those 2 extra languages.

    [d20 Modern]X-Files + James Ellroy = ?

Are you still looking for players, or is your plate full (as it seems)? Because if you're still looking, I'd be crazily interested. I've watched so many shows about Majestic-12 on the History channel...

What's your favorite "basic" race to play (and why)?

Anything that has no elven blood is fine by me. Surprisingly, I find myself loathing half-elves more than elves. I guess Dragonlance is to blame for that.

Wing and Sword: a d20 Modern military campaign [METAGAME]

Yeah at least Normand can take bullets and grenade blasts. ;) I can't help but wonder if they'd have started shooting if that woman had thrown her garbage out without us there. :)

Wing and Sword: Life During Wartime

Normand bursts into the garage, rifle at the ready as he sweeps the room, looking for the presence of any hostiles, paying particular attention to the area in which he had seen the fire before. OOC: spot check (1d20=19)

Ryan Dancey speaks - the Most Successful Year for Fantasy RPGaming ever. However...

Heh. Mr Dancey, by focusing on TRPGs (what a silly acronym!) missed a much greater occurence. Did you realize that, last year, Microsoft made a -lot- more money than Blizzard? And I mean, a lot! And yet.. They both make software! What's up with that! Something must be afoot, and Blizzard...

Wing and Sword: Life During Wartime

Normand nods, and stands back up, turning to the door. "Consider the door opened!" Then using the butt of his rifle, he breaks the glass and clears it from the door. OOC open door (1d20+3=15)

Wing and Sword: Life During Wartime

Normand automatically drops to one knee, trying to offer a smaller target. As he does so, he scans the area from which the shot appears to have come from, but, unable to see anyone, he holds his fire. OOC spot check (1d20=1) I.. Figured that wasn't high enough.

Wing and Sword: Life During Wartime

Normand had just pointed out the area of the garage where the flame is at when the sound of the gunshot reverberated, putting him quickly in a state of alert. OOC Initiative (1d20=8)

Wing and Sword: a d20 Modern military campaign [METAGAME]

E-mail sent. I've been reading a lot of military novels lately, a lot of them involving small units (W.E.B. Griffin being a prime example), which probably explains my eagerness to play in that sort of game.
