Get your hands off me ;) Here in New Zealand -
* We don't use miniatures, we recreate the scene using left over props from the filming of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hercules, Xena, or the Narnia movie (etc).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Heroes suggests otherwise... GW may not be doing anything with the IP, but it sounds like they still have the rights to the name (http://gh.avigne.org/rulendx.shtml)
RttToEE: really several adventures
WotC: Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil always seemed like several adventures in one book to me - there's the Hommlett nostalgia kick, there's the Crater Ridge, and then there's the finale.
I loved the Hommlett part - but the Crater Ridge wasn't fun for...
Didn't GW have it's own SuperHero RPG at one point?
Didn't GW have it's own SuperHero RPG at one point?
Golden Heroes or something (I've never played, although one of my gaming groups has some followers who want to have a blast of nostalgia and dig it out and have a game)?
Given that BI...
The DM section of the bestiary also (thankfully) provides a way to somewhat determine the lethality of confronting characters with a particular monster - the 'Slaughter Margin' :)
The Hogshead reprints stop at Kislev - there was a plan to rewrite Empire in Flames as 'Empire in Chaos' to fix some percieved faults with the original, but the book was never finished and published before Hogshead gave the license back to GW for WFRP. :(
There was 'nominate which feat you think will win' but I didn't think that it was mentioned that the feat that came highest in that category would get immunity...?
Since the title contains 'blank' twice, and there's only one feat with 'blank' in it's name, and it's currently in the lead to be voted off, can we have the next poll titled:
Power, Power, MORE POWER
or
Improve, Improve, Improve my Initiative
? ;)
I'll have to get the player with the character to check his figures and the book then - since he's been happily rolling 3d8 on every shot inside the range required and using rapid shot at the same time (I've looked briefly at the ability, but that was some time ago...)
The player concerned is...
Anything that smacks of minmaxing number crunching suggests Twink to me these days - but it might just be the group in question where the behaviour mentioned provoked the returning-to-D&D-after-years-away player to comment about how they couldn't really imagine someone sneak attacking with a...
(A) In 3.5, with the doubling of damage from two handed attacks, it leads to twinky munchkin behaviour like the party rogue using a Falchion two handed in their sneak attack.
(B) It's only of use in Melee attacks - which reduces it's usability to non melee fighting types - and requires a...
Rapid Shot had Improved Invisibility (or something like it) in the earlier rounds - it's only in the last round or two that I think I've seen anyone vote for it.
Even now, it's only got one vote (so far this round) - it's got a good chance to get through to the last few feats unless someone...
Power Attack
Power Attack
When the Munchkin Rogue in your gaming group takes it in order to use with a Falchion two handed (having a level in Fighter to allow the use of the Falchion) then you start to think that maybe, just maybe, someone needs to fix the feat so as to prevent that...
