I just wanted to make sure that the idea of using a PHP accelerator doesn't get lost. I've seem them give some pretty impressive speed boosts. We should definitely consider mmcache or something similar.
Here's what I'd like to see in such a work:
1) An overview of phonetics & phonology - explain IPA representations of the more familiar sounds (maybe English plus more familiar foreign sounds like the trilled r), and some commentary about how to choose sounds to give a language a "feel"
2)...
I'd definitely be interested, but that might just be because I'm a student of Linguistics. On that note, if you want any help, I'd gladly contribute. I'm not an experienced linguist, but I'm working on a minor in the field and would love to help.
Description:
Tsal is everything and nothing. Being a changeling, he shifts forms constantly to suit his purpose, but he generally prefers the form of a pale, thin human in dark garb. When no other form is required, this is what he can usually be found wearing. He has no compunction...
Here's what I have. He's still missing mundane equipment, and the background isn't done yet. But here's what I have.

I don't feel any particular compunction about mechanically the same characters. But if it bothers you that much, I'll keep looking around for other options for how to make an assassin. It's just that the rules don't offer much for that beyond the Assassin class, which isn't applicable...
Mine is a Changeling Rogue/Soulknife who prefers to call his job that of a "single target elimination specialist." In other words, he is an assassin. He grew up in the lower levels of Sharn where he became entangled early on in gang warfare. He rose to the top of the heap quickly after he...
OH! I definitely want to play! A light-hearted adventure in my new favorite setting sounds like just the thing. I'm thinking about a Changeling Rogue/Soulknife. I'll DEFINITELY be watching this one.
I could definitely keep up that post rate, and I'm really interested. How would you like me to send you information about my character idea, so you can decide if you want him?
I'd totally be interested in that game. It sounds really good, and I love Eberron! I have a character concept from a game that fell through, if you'd like me to send it to you.
I once worked on a poly-planar campaign, so some of these ideas might help you. I had three main ways of traversing the planes:
Government-controlled Portals - Generally expensive, but reliable. Used primarily by merchants and nobles (or their agents) who can afford the safety of using a...
One of the best things I found for improving my understanding of the core rules was playing in an Epic-Level arena game. Admittedly it was very munchkin-y, but it really demanded detailed knowledge of the rules (especially spells).
Woah. Here I was about to write about the FLGS in my hometown in GA, and lo-and-behold someone has already written about it! Astounding!
Only one thing to add: it has the most oddly constructed parking lot ever. Just in case you're planning to visit it, be forewarned.
