Agents of the Inquisition, Warhammer40K (recruiting)

Some of that has been fixed, some will be...give me a sec.

Agents of the Inquisition, Warhammer40K (recruiting)

I've got a pretty nifty (I think) combat/stealth guy with minor social abilities (really only for the stealth stuff), with a sniper rifle and like 12 close combat feats. He looks very much like a Vindicare, but with a little tweaking, he could be a really sneaky interrogator. I'll post him up...

Agents of the Inquisition, Warhammer40K (recruiting)

Eh...I never really liked Death Cultists, don't know why. So...I'll use my Inquisitor rulebook as a guide (Its got fairly detailed stats for everything), and make both the assassin and the interrogator and let you judge. :) Unless, of course, an Imperial Assassin would have some negative effect...

    World War Z

Alright, getting on it. I'll have it up tomorrow.

    World War Z

Alright, I'll get my character up. A quick question: I'm currently a student, do you want me to stat that or me as I hope to be once I'm out of college? (Which would be a private investigator...)

Agents of the Inquisition, Warhammer40K (recruiting)

Count me in as interested, though I'm not that experienced with M&M (Give me a few days and I'll be good). I was thinking of playing the other (The first being Aridha) Interrogator, or possibly an Officio Assassinorium agent (if thats not too powerful). I'll also say that if anyone needs extra...

    World War Z

Hey, I was wondering if you had room for one other zombie fanatic in this game. ;) I've got almost all the NWoD books, so I won't need help making a character, and if you need any obscure book info, odds are I have it.

    Giant Spider Web in Texas

Judging by the responses on this thread, this is probably a bad time to say that I would like to go visit that...it looks awesome. (As does that Banana Spider)

    why orc pc?

Then again, in defense of drow, I can see how they are "cool". Y'know, jet black skin, glowing red eyes, leather armor, etc. They pretty much look cool (to most people) doing almost anything, except maybe appearing in books by RA Salvatore. If they have angst, though, kill them. Painfully.

    why orc pc?

I've never actually heard of a Thrall clone. All the orcs I've had the (mis?)fortune of meeting have been incredibly strong, incredibly tough, and incredibly dumb. No funny black armor or big hammer either.

    why orc pc?

A drow has ECL 2, an orc has ECL 0. That, and an orc isn't terribly different in any way from a half orc, other then being stronger and with less wisdom. Most people will roleplay them the same way, big, dumb, not nice (but not evil either) guys with a gigantic weapon. Drow, on the other hand...

D&D 4E 4E's announcement left you in what condition? ;)

Surprised. Luckily, I passed my will save versus mind affecting spells, and then the rest of my group ran in, saw the announcement, and told me to shut down the computer and play GURPS. So, I don't think we'll be getting it until later on, to see how it is compared to 3.5e.

Is threat of death a necessary element of D&D?

Disposable is horrible. Other threats only work sometimes. Magic items are rarely seen in our games after character creation, and they are minor things there, so that won't work. Imprisonment always leads to dramatic escape, which is not death. I don't want the shadow of death lingering over the...

Is threat of death a necessary element of D&D?

It's not necessary (We haven't had a player die for...5 years), but if the players assume they're invulnerable, it can be bad for some games. Imagine this conversation. Heroic Knight: We have to rescue the princess from Count Evil's Castle! Rogue: But its crawling with guards, traps, has only...

[DannyAlcatraz] What do you do about the D&D-only player?

I play with my brother and some close friends, so switching systems is typically prefaced by me convincing everyone how fun it will be. We will then play a session or two. If its fun, we continue. If its not, we go back what we played before. So far, DnD and GURPS are the only systems we've...

help me brainstorm for my new military/horror campaign

I've been thinking of running a game based off a small government agency (the top secret ones) that deals with unexplained activity (like X-Files, but less aliens. (If anyone has ever read GURPS: Black Ops, its like that, but no over the top badass action.) From that point, you can go anywhere...

    Sailing into boiling water

Because cold just doesn't do that. Canada and Russia don't get hurricanes and tropical storms, but India, Southeast USA, etc (where the water is much hotter), do.

    How mediaeval is D&D, anyway?

In tech, its certainly medieval (1400-ish, sans gunpowder). But in Faerun, for example, the class system is very iffy. Anyone can rise to power by being high level, even peasants. The feudal system really isn't very regulated, its more like a renaissance town with burghers then the medieval...

    Sailing into boiling water

If the pitch melts, water will start to seep in the cracks. Though it probably wont be fast enough that its the worst of the crews worries. The ship sinking immediately because of the lack of water density might be high on the list, though, as is death by heatstroke.
