    Valley of the Five Fires

by Richard LeBlankc Jr. New Big Dragon Games D&D Levels 4-9 This is either a region module with strong adventures supporting it or a sandbox with strong adventures and great regional supporting material. Either way, it’s pretty good at supporting play, which is, I think, the major theme of...

    D&D 5E (2014) Hoard of the Dragon Queen - a solid D effort.

Both. He's very tough. And if you do manage to kill him then his minions drag him off and save him, so he can reappear in episode 3. His appearance in episode 3 is meaningless; it accomplishes nothing and impacts nothing. The railroad doesn't even have a purpose.

    D&D 5E (2014) Hoard of the Dragon Queen - a solid D effort.

Merric is absolutely correct here ... at least until that second paragraph. :) D&D Encounters requires a certain play style: everyone MUST be on episode 2 the next week. I'm fine with that. I could argue that the transitions could be done better, or that the HARDBACK $30 book is NOT for the D&D...

    D&D 5E (2014) 23 players, 12 hours - The Lost Mine of Phandelver

Yup. Also, I think pre-gens help with some of "power" worries, if they in fact are valid. (I'm still trying to keep an open mind.) EDIT: Also, I need to learn how to use multiquote.

    D&D 5E (2014) 23 players, 12 hours - The Lost Mine of Phandelver

I went back and reviewed the Cleric sheet this morning. I think the confusion came in because the two Channel Divinity powers were not clearly sub-parts of Channel Divinity. Yes, I know Channel Divinity states it has two powers, and those are listed in the CD description. Somehow I think the...
