    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

Droggle swoops down to try to dismount, though he isn't really hurt that badly yet OOC - probably actually more useful to hit the creature, and I've already taken my action for round two, so I couldn't do this until round 3

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC - Droggle at 11 HP Droggle wrestles with the creature, a bit paniced he will attempt to dislodge himself with from the creature (I'm assuming this takes a grapple check ) but in his panic he really just manages to flail his arms about fumble on touch attack roll to start grapple

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

((now these are magical mounts, do we need to make ride checks to bring them into battle? I was assuming that wasnt neccisary))

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

(ok, found the rules, heh, I forgot I found a pdf file of the PHB the other day) Droggle charges into the first enemy hitting an AC of 19 (and leaving his own AC at 16 for this round) and dealing 9 damage attack roll damage roll

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC - Ive been here, but my initiative was after the second monster, so I was waiting for that before I acted. ((oh, Im sorry, I misread Quozens posts so I want to edit this ... I thought he was engaged in melee, but he was flury of blows at range)) Droggle takes his steed and dives towards...

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC - well just above the treeline is likely just as fatal, but somehow perhaps psychologically easier to deal with.
  7. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

Droggle falls asleep easily. The teleportation, had him a bit out of sorts, but the extended nap seems to have done him wonders. but as he mounted the phantasmal steed, he felt a new discomfort come on. He worries about falling off of the thing in mid flight. It was difficult enough for him...

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC well , I have 10 days on me now, but I can't really carry any more
  9. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

"aye, I agree, a most excellent plan. And I agree as well that the sooner we set off the better"
  10. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC - well don't count on Droggle to be our spokesman, he is probably the least agreeable dwarf you have ever met, (Cha = 6).
  11. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC ok, well that sounds good to me. with 50 pounds of armor, and multiple weapons, weight adds up quickly, and dwarves don't tend to worry about weight limits as much as other races :)
  12. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC well Droggle's gear weighs just over 112 lbs, so he is going to leave his longspear and all but one of his torches here, to bring him just under weight for this trip. do i need to edit my character sheet to reflect this? or is stating this here in this thread good enough?

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

But what happens if we perish on our return, from some wholly unrelated threat. What will become of the shard then? if none of our comrads know the route we were to return by, then the shard may become impossible to recover.

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

"well, if it is immune to divinations, once we have it, if we have not been too obvious in our goal, we should in good shape to keep it"
  15. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

Droggle listens to this tale with wonder at first, but he doesn't much like the talk of weight restrictions. Droggle weighs 200 pounds by himself, and his armor is heavy. His steed would probably be lucky to get off the ground even if he rode him stark naked, .. and he is quite sure that is a...
  16. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC - well droggle weighs 200 lbs, and his armor weighs 45, so trimming down what he carries isn't really an option
  17. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

well then, perhaps my cousin Hasin will prove useful on this adventure after all. When we were lads, I always thought the time he spent away from the clan, out in the wilderness was unnatural, but it did give him skills we may find useful now.
  18. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

OOC just be sure to load up on the inflict wounds spells when we get there :p
  19. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

Droggle grumbles at the thought of such a long trip. "You know, even one teleport to get us started would help"
  20. Bison

    Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

a year!!! good gods man .. you would think we could be teleported or something if it is that far. you know, being that the fate of the world is involved and all
