Apologies if this is something I should know, but have they described their likely licensing terms? I like 4e but dislike the license, so if it were more OGL-like, I'd be more interested.

This is exactly what I like about 4e -- it works as a game.

Never played in one, so I have no idea. Probably they should, if it attracts gamers to the edition and hobby.

I'd grab my metal miniatures, since they're way more valuable than any boardgame. But if it had to be a game, probably rail baron, since it's out of print. If it had to be books, no idea. Those strike me as more easily replaced.

Not sure how I'd know it was in my inventory, but the "active" box is checked. Yet, when I look at my profile, it shows no badges. Probably I didn't do something right.

I got an "I defended the Walls" badge. I activate, but nothing discernable happens -- doesn't show up in my profile.

I'm totally uncertain of whether I'll ever buy it at this point. But your poll doesn't give me a place to say that. I can't give a definite "I'll buy after ___" answer or a definite "I'm not going to buy it". Depends on the final product.

This is true, but I'm not sure it would drive me to 5e. It might just make me drop D&D, either in favor of simpler (to DM) RPGs, or in favor of playing other games. I'm undecided between continuing with 4e, going to 5e, or trying something else. So long as adequate tools exist for DMing 4e...

Our core group started from scratch about 2.5 years ago, although we've dragged several others in since. Not saying it's common (no idea), but I do think new people start all the time.

I go in and read a thread, I try to navigate somewhere else and I get this "Are you sure" dialog that forces me to confirm. It gets very irritating after a while. Is there any way to turn it off? What the heck is its purpose?
