Well, C&T are coming in sometime Sat night. I don't know when exactly and they won't know either until they get here. I'm sure it won't be super-early, but it will mean I'll have to stop playing so that I can meet them and let them in... Would it be possible to "finish" what we had started...

How far is too far? If you're in White Marsh you're about 1/2 hr from me (in Baltimore) and I'm about 1/2 hr from their game...so I presume it'd be about an hr?

As for books getting in the way at a high table- I was assuming a set-up in which the book you were currently using would stand "upright" on your lap and lean against the table and therefore not be in the way. Other books (minus DM's of course) would be on the floor or on shelves behind you...

Being at a high-table gives me a lot more "access" to the map. When you're on a couch you're far away from the gaming surface and you have to bend over to move things (minis and the like). And, since you're on a couch and having to use your lap as your place space (books, sheets, etc)...

Ok, well I prefer high tables. I think a high table with squishy-er chairs would be best, but I'd rather have a high table with normal chairs than a low table set-up. However, I suspect I am in the minority in this respect.

I guess I'm a little confused on what you're asking for...the low table vs high table could be debated but it sounds like you've already made up your mind on that pt. What other types of issues are there?
