No Man's Land (Recruitment Closed... Sort of)

I've always wanted to try an epic game, if there's any room. I'm thinking Warlock, or Paladin. On another note, what are you feelinings on having a Dragon as a PC? or at least as maybe a mount for a paladin?(draconomicon) http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?a=show&id=973187 These are the only...

    Greco-Roman D&D

Since there is no heavy armor (except Half Plate which is horribly rare and terribly expensive), Fighters won't have heavy armor proficiency. Instead, I'm thinking of granting them 1 Exotic Weapon (Armor / Weapon / Sheild) at first lvl.

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga

Spratnik gazes around the arena, looking over his opponents and the terrain. Thinking him the easier target, he sets his eyes on Vrek and reaches over his shoulder for an arrow. He has nothing to say. And so it begins. Want Initiative too?

    Greco-Roman D&D

Sorry Strahd, but I was thinking only Greek PCs Imperialus: Hellenistic Greece, Republican Rome (so iron, not steel) And what I have so far Greek pantheon vs. Roman pantheon Hellenistic Greece and Republican Rome PCs will be Greek characters—Spartan, Athenian, Macedonian, or from other...

    Greco-Roman D&D

Yeah, I had most of these written on my list, but I figured just to put up the D&D names on here for now, as to not confuse those who aren't history buffs :D

    Greco-Roman D&D

Thanks for recommending that book, Defcon (and Ambrus), it actually is pretty helpful. I think, though, I shall use a homebrew of Iron Heroes (for defense modifiers and armor DR), New Argonauts (for scions and feats), and of course, core D&D. I will work on how this'll work this week and post...

    Greco-Roman D&D

Thanks, Defcon, I'll definitely look into it. As for flavor, I was thinking more Clash of the Titans / Iliad / Jason and the Argonauts feel more than Hercules or Xena. The old Sinbad works though. As for classes, I'll look into this new book and then get back to you guys. P.S. Yeah, I've...

    Greco-Roman D&D

Actually, thanks for the bit about the Gods. This game is actually centered on them. The Pantheon will be the Greek Gods (well, the Romans just stole them anyway), and yes, following certain gods will have different benefits, kinda like different races (Ares gives you bonuses to STR, Aphodite to...

    Greco-Roman D&D

So i got to thinkin the other day, I really like the Classical world, and I really like D&D. Why haven't I ever put the two together before? So I have decided to run a Greco-Roman D&D game. Now, this is going to be somewhat historical. There will be some magic, but not lots. Weapons and Armor...

    Victorian Eberron idea

I thought they bred true between themselves. Also, would other races (shifters, kalashtar, halflings) be descriminated against by the new mostly human populus? Would that make it harder to have say, a Shifter PC?

    Victorian Eberron idea

If this game gets started, i would like to play a modified scout, playing more like a sniper/skirmisher. As a side note, there are some rules for firearms on pages144-145 of the DMG

    Victorian Eberron idea

Well, not to be a smart-ass, but if we're talkin mid 19th century (1800s) then the firearms would probably be muzzle loading rifles or muskets. Later, closer to the 1900s, you got reliable breach loading rilfes with better rifleing (which makes for better accuracy). Maybe masterwork could entail...

    Victorian Eberron idea

This sounds pretty awesome, I'd love to play in it. But as for firearms, i would assume they woud lots more damage than a crossbow, but wouldn't they take longer to reload?

A Horde and a Mansion: Prologue.

Hearing Thea's call from the depths, Willow tightens his grasp on the rope and prepares to pull her up "Now, Duneslayer! Pull!" Razor Fang is sorely tempted to jump down and help, but decides it would be better just to stay were he is and wait and see what happens, defending his master if...

Blood Sun, Chapter One: The Shadow Over Junga OOC

I agree, Spratnik is probably the least sinister, and would definitely help.

recruiting players for a mid-level steampunk campaign

Seeing as our potential DM has been MIA for a week, mayhaps someone else should take over. But I'd say give a bit more time to resurface.

recruiting players for a mid-level steampunk campaign

Man, i really wanted to play this game. I made a very spiffy character, but i don't know if anyone would let me use him, Halfling Werebear (ecl 6, black bear instead of brown). Does anyone else want to volunteer to lead this game? (Not it)
