Best Sword (Or any weapon type) Fights ever?

For one on one I have to say both Westly and Inigo (Princess Bride) and the Forge fight in Pirates of the Carribean. As for Large battles... can't go wrong with Two Towers and Rotk.

What happens when you can't move your Feet in combat?

But is shouldn't hamper your ranged attack I think... maybe loose half dexterity mod bonus to AC (you can still wiggle around and try to avoid hits)?

    Dark Legacies...Thoughts?

After reading the review it made me very ineterested (I just love low-magic, grity settings); I might have to check it out. As for the "harsh on magician" thing... I get a picture in my head of an all magic users party... very interesting... arnon

    Favored Class alternative

I don't like the penalty for multi-classing and so took it out of play. "Multi-class to your hearts content," I tell my players, "but you need someone to train you and teach you if it is a specialized sort of class." arnon

Anyone picked up Grim n' Gritty ver. 4?

Just last week I was looking over (again) the GnG revised rules as I'm thinkling that my group is getting to a point where they are ready for a deadlier combat system (they were all new to D20 so i gave them some slack). So this looks very interesting, but how different is it realy from the...

    Wheel of Time

I first picked up the books about 9 years ago, and read everything i could... i think it was 1 through 5. Then there was a long time in which i had not time to read, untill after about 4 years of not reading I entered a book store and found a a shelf containing books 1-8. I was excited, and...

    24 3/28/05 Spoilers

I watch TV shows for entertainment and amusement, if I wanted realism I'd watch the news... and that not very lively :( I like this season (actually i liked all the other seasons as well). And yhea, I'm betting on Air Force One for being the target... they hinted at it plenty of times.

How Many Actual Sessions Has Your Current Long-Term Campaign Had?

holy cow... some high number count for some of you... longest for me was an 8 month Planescape campaign last year, meeting every week for about 6-8 hours... so that'll be about 32. We had some other "short" campaigns by different DMs (me included), that were broken off due to players/DMs...

    Top down, or bottom-up?

I'm not sure what to choose... I started with a big map and then strated to fill her up, going into more details where i knew i wanted the players to start, but knowing prety well what every other part of the wolrd had to offer. Conflicts, beliefs, ruling system and such crop up as I populate...

    Grim n' Gritty thinking...

I actually was also reading again the RGnN and actually I came to a conclusion that I don't mind using them as they are, life pips and all. Its easier and simpler than the 3.3 version, less calculation and smoother. of course all I have to do now is find a group...
