Plate has a -1 speed and a -1 check compared to hide and takes 3 additional layers of proficiency to equip. Not to mention, a ranger with max Dex still boosts his best offensive stat quite considerably *while* getting the best AC. Yes, I think plate is getting the shaft.

So a Class with max Dex / Int + hide armor will have more AC than someone in plate at level 30? (+21 vs +20). Why does that bother me?

I would argue that the monster's movement is interrupted and does not move adjacent toward the fighter. The polearm already has reach - so it *can* hit the monster in the square that it starts in. It then attempts to enter the square, and the OA fires, interrupting the action. If it is a hit...

One further question I had about OA's and Combat Superiority. If a warrior is using Pole-arm Gamble - which grants OA's when a non-adjacent enemy enters an adjacent square - does that prevent their movement on a hit as well? If so - then they would have a tough time moving next to a pole-arm...
