    Aura Paladin

Not sure if you have seen the marshall from the miniatures handbook, however it has some "official" mechanics for auras, off hand I can't remember how they differ from yours, however if you are interested you may want to give it a look.

    Metamagic on the Fly

Spontaneous Metamagic feats allow for 3 times a day per spontaneous feat taken. So if my character has spontaneous empower that is 3/day and spontaneous maximize that is 3/day for 6 uses, which continues to add up. My point is your character with metamagic will fall behind in uses then the...

    Need Help with a Template

Well thought out, I definitely appreciate your views on the subject and agree that we see "Nobles" differently. I just see removing the bluff penalty so you can have both your nobles and my nobles living side by side happily plotting behind each others backs. :]

    Bonus for the characters

So if you compare them to feats, + 2 to appraise is half a feat and + 1 to initiative is 1/4th a feat. And +1 to limited saves is 1/3rd a feat. Also you may want to name the bonuses to determine stacking, it could be something as simple as astrological bonus. I like the idea of birth signs...

    Need Help with a Template

Oh! I am not against the Forgery Modifier, I just think the extreme difficulty the average noble with a -4 to bluff would have doesn't fit and wanted to balance it by removing a bonus. Politician's have a stereotype for lying, and nobles have a sterotype for swashbuckling/ fencing so the...

    Improving the Hobgoblin

Well for weapon groups, I see the point of leaving it as is, if you know heavy swords, you know bastard sword automatically. I like that. In campaigns that don't use it, one free exotic is a bit open, perhaps a list that fits your campaign world would be appropriate, I think that would be open...

[random idea] Getting Rid of the Monk

Well AC wise, letting the character wear light armor makes up for some of the monks AC bonus. There is already a feat in WoTC books that make you faster by 5' , a 10' increase would be better than that. What if instead of modifying the fighter, you modify the swashbuckler to make unarmed attacks?

    Negative XP for Level Adjustment?

How do you resolve balance issues, the 1st level Illithid Fighter would be more powerful than the 1st level halfling rogue by a longshot. Would goblins be a problem to the party with the one troll fighter in its midst?

    Paladin of Shadows prestige class

Just based on flavor, I wonder if the Hide ability should at least be a class skill if not a required skill for entry into the class.

    Need Help with a Template

Interesting idea, I think the template could appeal to other races, especially elves. Not sure if a bonus to forgery is something I would go with, I would get rid of this and remove the penalty to bluff. Nobles are like politicians, bluffing should be something they are good at. The penalty to...

    Improving the Hobgoblin

I think this is on par with races such as the tiefling. However flavor wise I think that making the Hobgoblin into an extremely disciplined warrior, would be cool. I see it above in the extra weapon feat and the increased speed (I am thinking lots of forced marches), however something that gives...

Oops. Coredump you are right. It's what I get for scanning the post quickly.

    Aura Paladin

A couple of thoughts, Weapon Proficiencies, since the character is already getting the good weapons from each cateory, may as well give him martial proficiency. Guardian Aura, with one level of paladin the character has a powerful bonus to AC that stacks with almost everything, anyway to tie...

a different kind of bard..would you allow him in your campaign

If everyone finds the antics to be amusing and not disruptive to play, then I say the player is an asset to the game. In regards to his abilities, it should be allowed to do comedy, you may want to look into a taunt ability.

Definitely understand, by the way it sounds like a cool idea.

Goal a Paladin class that works for every faith. What am I missing?

Edited the 2 new archetypes into the main class. Also renamed post to get more help on adding archetypes (paths).

i need a fire based PrC

Well there is a frost rager in frostburn so no reason why there can't be a fire rager. IIRC the frostrager's sweat froze when he raged. If the Fire Rager had burning sweat, it could create an immolation effect causing 1d6 fire damage to all within 5'. Do you have any back ground on why the...

    The Disparager (prestige class)

Because most of the abilities are language based you may want to include some sort of rude gesture ability. Ex: The Diparager can use gestures and motions to get his insults across however the target receives a +2 to will saves.

Goal a Paladin class that works for every faith. What am I missing?

Proposed change- Replace Favored enemy, which he had too many levels of any how with a divine temperment- Samples: Zealot- These characters gain favored enemy ability at 1st, 8th and 16th level. Pilgrim- 1st- These characters gain a +10 to base land speed (Ex) 10th- Woodland Stride...

Goal a Paladin class that works for every faith. What am I missing?

Here is another archetype for the crusader: Slayers- When Demons, Devils, Undead or any other scourge threatens your campaign world, the churches often train slayers to take up the holy mission of erradicating these fiends. Slayers get Knowledge (planes) as a class skill. 1 Protection Form...
