    Becoming undead-> hit die transition

But then, you should be losing those hit points from your con score anyways, just as you would if you had your con drained. What you could do is subtract the bonus HP from con, (1, 2, 3 hp per level, or whatever) and then roll the extra hp only. So that, if you previously had d8 HP, you would...

    Tactical Encounter Problems

What's good for the goose is good for the gander (and it's so easy to make gander into danger). Think tactically yourself. If they're in a choke point with the melee guys holding position, depending on the area (in a hall or so) the ranged attackers behind have a narrow window in which they...

Aspect of the Cunning Fox - Am I missing something?

I was afraid I'd been mistaken all along. And yeah, it'd have been nice to effectively double my hit points on the rare occasions I use it. Hmmmm. My reading of that would be that rapid shot still only counts as one attack. But looking at the wording, I think you might be right.

Aspect of the Cunning Fox - Am I missing something?

Well crap. That's what I was afraid of.

Aspect of the Cunning Fox - Am I missing something?

I'm in a game that just started up, and I'm playing a Hunter from the Essentials, Heroes of the Whatever Something, the ranger variant. And one of the stances I took is the Aspect of the Cunning Fox. And part of it says, *You take only half damage from attacks made against you during your...

    Splitting the party in combat

What about something on a constantly moving ground? Every round everyone moves 2-3 squares in one direction, and if they don't move to avoid hazards, immovable rocks, or whatever, they can get stuck, or fall off the edge, or other terrible things.

Age old question: Handling of prisoners

If you're just going to be killing your prisoners, why did you take them prisoner in the first place?

    Plate v. Scale Armor

I AM using Enfeebling Strike, for extra penalty goodness. Having talked to the DM, I think I'm going to stick with heavy armor, just in a dragon scale motif, and from what he said, count on the enemies to be too dumb to realise they can't hit me as easily.

    Plate v. Scale Armor

He's running a module or two or three from the Dungeon Delvers book, so I'm assuming that they're more geared towards combat than adventuring/exploring?

    Plate v. Scale Armor

Quick backround. I'm starting a Dragonborn Paladin 1. With a 10 dex, plate armor and heavy shield, I'm looking at a -4 for practically everything that requires armor checks. I'm wondering if dropping down to scale armor would be worth it, to get back that 2 armor check penalty, for the cost...

Does turning invisible cancel out Glitterdust?

Well, thanks for the info, if not an actual answer. It'll hopefully make the decision on which way to rule easier.

Does turning invisible cancel out Glitterdust?

I seem to recall the question coming up before, but I can't find any sources. We blew an ambush, so, per my usual tactics, I glitterdusted the other guys. Actually worked, even. Then, things went poorly for the enemies, and one of them tried to go invisible. I brought up the idea that...

What makes a good sky pirate captain?

Thanks for the advices. Song of the Heart I picked up, but I've decided to just stick with the straight Bard, for the Suggestion ability.

What makes a good sky pirate captain?

I actually did something similar. Less the barking orders, more rousing and motivational speeches, but the same idea. I'm mostly looking to stick with bard or bard-like classes, since at 6th level, I can fascinate the prey, then "suggest" that if they cooperate and show us where the treasures...

What makes a good sky pirate captain?

I'm soon to be playing in an Ebberonish game where we're sky pirates. I'm the captain, playing a bard, obviously less fighty, but more talky, get the treasure without a major fight, etc... What are the essentials, what suggestions would people have for neat trinkets...

    Gestalting

Would you then say that a Wizard 6//Fighter 3/Rogue 3 gets his third level spells? One interpretation says he does, the (Wiz3//ftr3+Wiz3//rog3) just says he gets his 0-2nd level spells twice.

    Dragons without magic

Ah. I didn't recognize any of the specifics, so I didn't catch it.

    Dragons without magic

I want to say one of the Monster Manuals have dragons that have forsaken their magical abilities in exchange for entrance into The Great Game, where dragons basically play chess using cities, armies, and nations as their pieces. Less magic, more pulling the strings from behind the scenes.
