What happens when a necklace of fireballs detonates when worn?

Some people say that if you are hit with a fireball, rather than just in the area, you don't get a reflex save. I don't know if that's a core rule or a common house rule, but if so, I'd say WEARING the Necklace of Explosive Decapitation would mean that you likewise don't get the save. And...

    Water elemental "drench" and fireball

From the SRD. Both Fireball and Scorching Ray have a duration of "Instantaneous" making them not ongoing effects. So the first two uses don't apply. The counterspell usage is focused on the caster, however, drench involves touching the flame, and not the caster. So, I'd say no, it cannot...

Way for armor to eat damage, w/o armor = DR.

Rather than adding HP, wouldn't it be simpler, especially when it comes to things like switching armors, or taking them off, or putting more on, to reduce damage by x% rather than a specific number? Leather reduces damage taken from 100% to 90% or 95%, and so on? That way, your HP always...

What 3rd level spell should a Vow of Peace/Poverty sorcerer take?

You could make the same argument about Color Spray (if he blinds the bad guys, his friends sure as hell aren't going to take that opportunity to run away) Enlarge Person, and maybe Hypnotic Pattern. It works as well as most buff and non-damaging combat spells one can take.

200 gnomes, in a boat, no wind. Help.

I'd point out two things. One, people can go for up to 3 months without food and survive. It'll suck, but it's doable. Two. DnD has no mechanic for starving to death.

    Bracers of Armor obsolete?

You'd still get the ACP applied to everything though. Which I now see is 0. So never mind.

Help on a melee monk build?

The Monk Rogue is a possibility. Sure, you don't get full BAB, or high HD, but you get more skills, Sneak Attack damage with your fists, and evasion + evasion may get you improved evasion early. I'm not sure.

    The Mask of Pain

As I understand it, it ressurects the original owner by turning the most recent wearer into that original person when the mask is removed.

Powers that stop scars from happening ?

Given that there's no in game mechanic for scarring, there's no real in game mechanic for not scarring. It's more or less up to the GM and players.

Chaos Diamond - options for dealing with

Where in we rehash "D&D hardness vs real world hardness." If it were a diamond, I'd say it's got LOWER hardness. While in the real world, diamond is hard, it's also brittle. I could hammer on a one inch slab of iron until the cows came home and helped me hit it, with nary a dent. But a few...

    Largest weapons possible with TWF?

I'm just curious. Oversized TWF would allow a medium character to fight with two longswords. Would Monkey Grip on top of that allow a medium character to TWF with large longswords (greatswords)? What else would there be? Anything else that might make things even sillier?

    Large creatures and jumping.

The horse doesn't jump with all legs. Its animal cunning lets it set up the leap so its hind legs are near the edge, and its forelegs are actually over the open pit, thus, it only needs to make the same jump as the human.
