    Conan RPG (d20) Dodge Question

Im getting ready for work so I have no time to actually reference this. Dodge: In order to use this you must move into the adjacent square and this happens at the time of the opponents attack(this has broken flanking bonus and such) and this sucks up his 5' adjustment Dance Aside: Much like...

    easy supers game

So I passed on my rather large collection of comic books to my new son(we are fostering to adopt and he and his sister moved in Dec 22nd) for Christmas and he is really into them. I told him we could play a superhero's roleplaying. Imo M&M is the best but I want to ease him into it. So what is...

you could add pieces and such. That is a large board so and extra few pieces that the players don't know what they do Ideas for what they do -an orb: must move forward until the next forward move is blocked by an opponents piece, or players piece, or end of the board, and then moves left or...

    The darkness in us all

Part II The party returned to the tomb room and placed the armor on the sarcophagus. The lid absorbed the armor and it was almost as if the suit had never left. The party tried the door to the north wall. Once again it led them down a winding hallway. Finally they came to a door with an...

    race and music

This all came about because in my campaign (http://www.enworld.org/forum/story-hour/297656-darkness-us-all.html) we had agreed to take a break until the new year. Well it turns out everyone had Dec. 23rd off and wanted to start the second season(as I call it, helps me with the rise of plots and...

    race and music

No probably not. That is why I leaned towards genre and not particular songs. Music can use both magic and normal means to be played. Music is just a huge part of most religion and culture but it seems it's always left from d&d.

    race and music

hmmm not a popular subject? seriously if every race had a genre of music represent it. would half orcs ride there beastly mounts to swedish metal as they descend on a helpless village. do your halflings party down to some home grown southern country/rock. Dwarves bumping the Hip Hop as they...

    race and music

We know that different cultures have different music styles so what about the races in your campaign. When half orcs sit around what do they listen to? Dwarves halflings? This is relevant to my story hour? Also does anyone know if you can post mp3 links in these threads?

    The darkness in us all

Wyrmcrest The quest for Sir Guy Part 1 The next few weeks were lazy. Titus negotiated a fair sum for the enchanted armor and gemstones they found at Brightstone. August and Thorn were often sparring amongst the grounds. Their warriors respect growing for one another all the while. Titus was on...

    The darkness in us all

It's the player. I can't tell you how many times beverages have been spewed through the nose over some of his exclamations/proclamations. Most of the time I spend trying to figure out how to censor them to make them friendly enough to put on here lol.

One Thing You Can Do to Become a Better DM

ooohhhh shiny! Ill post two to catch up. 1.) Describe things. Don't say an troll charges the camp. How about "The small fire at your feet makes it hard to see. Whatever is out there sounds like a bear moving through trees. A rotting stench hits your nostrils. A creature breaches the fog...

    Is D&D stifling your creativity?

it seems to me that 3e and later editions(imo) can reduce characters to a pile of stats and numbers. it cant be helped we want everything quantified and in spreadsheet format. I remember that some of the be character sheets had a space for a character sketch/ insignia. and a space on the back...

    Winter

It seems most campaigns I've ran or played always start in the fall. Ive used it both ways as a DM. One campaign was less adventure path/big adventure and more a sandbox based campaign. they discovered an ancient viking ship landlocked and buried. so every winter they would return to work on it...

    Who's your favorite Villain?

My wife! no uhhh seriously I would say Lord Soth. I still remember the summer nights I spent reading about him in the Chronicles. To this day I have a reoccurring dream that him and some draconians attack our camp and Im Sturm but I just cant defeat him....No seriously baby it was a joke Lord...

Making superhero gear make sense (mostly Marvel related)

Ok obviously my post wasn't that clear since I've been misquoted twice from the same reply in one thread lol. Once again I just said that hero's on the upper end of the scale use less gear. I never compared the artifact Mjolnir which was infact forged by the most powerful deity in Asgard to a...

Making superhero gear make sense (mostly Marvel related)

Actually I was going the other way with that...thought I cleared that up with the whole the more powerful they are the less gear they need unless it's crucial to the character bit but sorry about the confusion.
