    This squirrel is hillarious!

For those of you who don't know about this: http://www.illwillpress.com/vault.html Check it out! Be forwarned, he can be slightly offensive, but utterly funny. I'd reccomend you start with "Small, Medium, Large" and then move on to "5 minutes". From there move on to "Spell-a-casters", then...

    Concentration

Last gaming session, the groups rules lawyer brought up an argument about concentration. We play 3.5, and had been playing by the rule that if you are damaged in the turn that you cast a spell you had to make a concentration check 10 + spell level + damage dealt to be able to cast the spell...

    My Paladin's Code

Not to be overly argumentative, (I'm good at starting trouble =-) but maybe your rogue is cramping the Paladin's style. ; Just my two sparx, Sparxmith

    Richard Garfield vs. Gary Gygax

I didn't know Actually, I didn't know who GG was until I started posting (or as some have suggested, lurking) here on EnWorld. I'm far more aware of who Monty Cook is than I am of Gary Gygax. The same would be true of Ed Greenwood. And, I'm a great fan of Richard Garfield's--hence the...

    Richard Garfield vs. Gary Gygax

My notions A quick response to something: Every impression I got about GG and the history of D&D, I got from the boards here at enworld. I post nowhere else, in fact LURK nowhere else. All of what I stated, I took, or rather mistook, from somebody's post here on enworld. As far as libeling...

    Yet Another Gestaut Post

Monk/Druid I'm of the opinion that Monk Druid is the best combo. The stats synergize, the monk abilities and druid abilites nicely stack, and the spells are pretty dang good. If you have access to the Book of Exalted Deeds, take the Vow of Poverty with it for a truly frightening character.

    Richard Garfield vs. Gary Gygax

My apologies Thanks to everyone who disabused me of my incorrect notions concerning the history of D&D and the part GG played in it. My apologies for incorrectly stating that he ran TSR into the ground. (I thought that kinda funny, that's why I asked.) As for stating that I should lurk more...

    Richard Garfield vs. Gary Gygax

It seems to me that Mr. Gary Gygax frequently comes up in conversation on a number of threads. There is always, it seems, at least one thread on the front page concerning Mr. Gygax, his views, or his health. My question is why? I don't know all the facts, but I'm under the impression that he...

    Now THIS bard kicks ass!

Iron Man That's pretty cool. (Sorry, I'm not l337 enough to spell it "kewl" =-). Any way, I plan on doing something similar. In the campaign I'm DM'ing, the party will encounter an Adamantine Golem. As I begin to describe him, I'm gonna turn on "Iron Man" from Black Sabbath. Hopefully...

Undead dungeon in need of villain.

Forgotten Realms? If you're playing in the realms, make him a priest of Velsharoon, the god of Undeath. Then, to be really cruel, make him LN, not evil. That doesn't meant he characters wouldnt' oppose him however. Anyway, just my thoughts, Sparxmith

Dancey and Tweet on growing the hobby

Unfortunately, WOTC has tried a similar marketing scheme with Magic: the Gathering, and to my knowledge it failed miserably. I've taught more than 50 people to play Magic, and everyone I've ever known to play the game played because a friend taught them how to play. I've only known one person...

    Deflect Arrows

For some reason, I thought that it was possible to deflect more arrows if you had combat reflexes. My group argued with me that I was wrong, and turning to the rule books, it appears that they were right. Now, I love monks, I usually play one when I'm a player. But, I was DM'ing last night...

Thank-you, Gentlemen of the Jury (says the Pedophile-Killing Paladin)

It is a pleasure to Serve. It was my pleasure to be of service. It allowed me to role-play. Thank you for allowing all of us a place in your campaign. Sparxmith

How to believably deal with missing players??

Guard the Horses We've yet to go through a serious (multi-session) dungeon crawl in our campaign. Being on the surface all the time, somebody has to guard the horses. That's where the missing players are. Wizards can scribe scrolls, etc, clerics still act as boxes of Band-aids, and a rogue...
