    Falling from Flying Mounts

Ah, there we go. That's what I wanted to know, looks good there. So characters fall on their turn (continue their movement that is heh) as per the jump rules, I like that. Oh, a fly spell that has been dispelled still causes the character to float down to the ground. It's in the spell...

    Warforged Wildshape suggestions?

Are you guys kidding? It's Warforge Transform!! Let's rolll out! Hehe, looking at the pictures of warforged they have alot of wood in them as well as metal, so the wood grows and shapes itself using the metal components to create a facsimile of an animal shape. Treat the warforged transformed...

    shades vs shadow conjuration

Shades functions as per the Shadow Conjuration spells, so (summoning) or (creation) subschools only. The only part of the spell that Shades changes is that it may emulate 8th level or lower spells of those subschools.

    Mounted Charge

Sounds like a duel rather than a conventional combat situation. For special combative moments such as a duel I use dueling rules (the core combat system doesn't simulate dueling), or in this case, jousting rules. That's what I'd do.

Unexpected Moments You Pulled On Your DM

Played a tongue and cheek M&M game with a character named Captain Obvious with the Self-Narration flaw (has to speak actions and thoughts aloud in a continuous heroic monologue during dramatic scenes and during combat). Made the GM laugh and curse while running the adventure for us as he...

    Aid Another and Grappling?

The Aid Another action doesn't include a character in the actual grapple and they may continue to use the aid another action to aid an ally in a grapple (melee combat). A character that uses the aid another action (by spending a standard action) is making "...a melee attack on an opponent that...

Targeted Dispel and Magic Weapon, etc.

According to the reading of dispel magic you'd have to target the object (the weapon in this case), as it is the target of the spell, in order to dispel the spell effect. A targeted dispel on a character would only affect all spells that target the character, a magic weapon spell doesn't target...

    Why do we need Fumbles?

But this is exactly why RPGs are such a unique entertainment medium. In movies we usually *know* heroes will always win and will triumph in the end - it's ultimately handed to the hero on a silver platter by the writers. But in a good RPG, a heroic end to a tale isn't a given, instead it is...

    Why do we need Fumbles?

To enhance the drama of an action-packed situation. Nothing makes the story more dramatic for the audience when a heroic character is fighting and suddenly his situation becomes more dire! Mostly just because it's darn funny! I mean if you can't find humor in playing a game...mayhaps you are...

    Help with a druid PC...

The feat uses the Improved Grab special ability as an example of the use of the CQF feat.

    Help with a druid PC...

I think the only thing you might be missing is that you are the DM and not a player character, so why are you trying to use NPC builds to try and match this Druid character? Druids are butch, but whip out a big nasty monster and the Druid is cake with icing on top. Put down the PHB (leave that...

    Help with a druid PC...

Oh yes. Dealing damage to increase your grapple check to resist being grappled = good! Though for multiple attacks it helps to have combat reflexes!

    Simple question

Yup, still a viable target. The fellow floats where they are, well, as long as there aren't any strong winds that is. ;)

    Fumbles

For fumbles we use natural "1", roll to confirm fumble (i.e. miss your target's AC again), and followed by a Reflex save DC = 10 + foe's CR. If the save is failed then the character has fumbled and rolls on our fumble chart (%). Though I think this fumble method favors the dextrous rogue-types...

Maximized spell, then rolls a crit

Figuring the amount of damage for a critical hit is based on multiple hits equal to the crit multiplier. For spells the crit multiplier is x2, so the amount fo damage is equal to a maximized scroching ray hitting twice. For the case of an empowered and maximized scorching ray = 24 + 12 = 36...

Here's a PDF of the Half-Celestial Template Class I threw together in the Ol' Savage Progressions format. Mostly just a copy over of the half-fiend really. Hope you enjoy! :D

    Half-Celestial template class

Hmm, could've sworn it was hidden somewhere in there near the aasimar class level, my bad. Shouldn't be too hard to put it together real quick using the half-fiend as a guideline: Half-Celestial Template Class 1st * Con +2, Cha +2, natural armor +1, darkvision 60ft., daylight (as the spell)...
