Its probably not in the DMG, because most things dont have sonic resistance. its a lot less common than the rest.

Oh well. Still, thats a lot better than the rest of the party. Im making a rogue 1/monk 9. He has boots of striding and springing, so hes moving pretty fast. Our 2 pallys have movement rates of 40 due to the boots.

Yes, the spellbook would show up. If you remember, you can cast spells out of a spellbook as scrolls (thereby wiping them out of the book), so they are magical writings. detect magic detects scrolls....

Well, in our group, we have 3 or more players with LOTS of dice. So we use different colors of d6s for monsters. "I hit red 6" "I slash green 2" "my fireball affects red 2, 4, 5, green 1, 2, and 4." The Dm just has a list of how many hps each type has, and a # for each one.
