Which feats in particular are they mad about? I would let them change them out on a case-by-case basis only. Otherwise you will have them re-creating their character to make them more powerful than they already were(Oh, i never used this feat....let me take another). They made the decision...

I would simply change it to arcane energy damage, or eldritch energy....whatever. Just not fire.
