Yep. Persistent Spell has the requirement of the spell has to have a personal or fixed range (so only you can recieve the spell) such as Comprehend Languages or Detect Magic. And no instantaneous spells. So anything that you can cast on someone else is right out.

heh. in our FR game, Cyric now uses the longbow.....(long story, part of the old campaign). Id say that considering who is now Cyric in that game, a bow is quite worthy of being the weapon of a death god. ;) What about the scourge(ala Loviatar?) Make it a god of death/pain?

Hm..that depends. If its a warlocks invocations, they all have somatic components(and cant be used without somatic components). If its other spell like abilities....Im not sure.
