Does anybody else dislike the Warrior cat adventure game?

Ok, for those of you who don't know, I'm referring to the tabletop rpg made by "Stan!" (Steven brown, not too familiar with his works myself. He apparently made d20 modern which I'm personally ok with.) and illustrated by James L. Barry, which itself was based of the Warriors series, or the...

Pathfinder 1E How would I treat a two handed Terbutje?

I've been posting a lot about weapons this past week because I've been getting ready for a new campaign lately. I've been making an archtype of druid that you can read more about on one of my earlier posts this month, I had an odd dream about them. They used swords, which was odd, though I...

Pathfinder 1E How to treat a claymore in pathfinder and other editions.

I agree for the most part, but I've just been trying to make new weapons. It seems to me after buying ultimate equipment, your choices are limited to British Europe, and Asia. It really gets me that it seems like the Oriental weapons don't add that much to the game in sense of variety, it also...

Pathfinder 1E How to treat a claymore in pathfinder and other editions.

I thought about this for months, and I think I've got it. Treat it as a greatsword, with block and deadly. Is an exotic weapon and requires the exotic weapon feat: Claymore.

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

Well, vorpal weapons need to be slashing weapons for one. Second off, I think that would be a bit powerful for a level one character, I could make a or powerful enchanted variation later. I think this current design is fine though.

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

Ok, I slept on it. 1d6 two handed simple weapon that does 3X damage on a crit, can be used in one hand as a martial weapon for 1d4 damage. Gains a +5 to checks to conceal the weapon and on bluff rolls to convince others its just a walking stick or cane. Also provides trip.

Pathfinder 1E What should the compenents of a good dwarf name be?

I can understand that, I'll try to remember that from now on. The reason I use Meadfist as a good example though is because I made a character once named Thaginar Meadfist. The backstory for him was that his clan name came from the fact that they were brewers who focused mostly on brewing...

Pathfinder 1E What should the compenents of a good dwarf name be?

Personally, I think Dwarven names should have something to do with their trade, or their family history. Gemcarver. Ironskin. Flamebreath. Meadfist. Warbringer. Bloodsmither. Silverbeard. Battleroar. Dragonkin. Dragonmauler. Dragonslayer. Witchender. Hopmongler. These are Great Clan names.

Pathfinder 1E What should the compenents of a good dwarf name be?

I don't think Dwarfs usually fight Elves. Though I don't think that should be the only criteria anyway. A Dwarfs clan name should reflect on their occupation if you ask me.

Pathfinder 1E What should the compenents of a good dwarf name be?

Good dwarf names I have come up with in the past go along the lines of Thaginar, and Grokeg, and Roockguard. Clan names I have are Meadfist, ironskin, steelbreath, though, what should be the criteria of a good Dwarven name?

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

It's not sentimentalism, I have never owned a cane or Blackthorn. National pride? I'm Greek my friend (with a little French and Polish who came to America right before ww2), my lineage does not share that with the shaillelagh. The reason I posted this and have kept the post so long was...

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

But why is a greatclub a d10 then? And besides, I understand that blackthorns are usually filled with lead anyway.

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

What if it were a 1d8 two handed martial weapon? The greatclub is 1d10, and I assume the Blackthorn would be lighter?

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

I myself would have been skeptical about the stats at first, but this is the video I used for reference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NozXCgKpS24 . And I've also seen battle-axe's used on realistic analogs for heads as well, I see this as fitting tbh in my opinion.

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

Ok, how about this for an Irish Blackthorn. A 1d8 medium exotic one handed weapon. Can be held in two hands as a martial weapon. Crits at 20 fir 3X damage, and deals bludgeoning damage. What do you guys think of this?

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

I agree, just seems like a bit of money I spent for a book that I could have saved. But from my research the Shillelagh is much different than your common club or ballclub. P.S. I had a post on baseball bats, and decided to treat them differently than a club. The system I decided on was...

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

It doubles as a walking stick, while being used in two hands I think it would be considerably lighter than a greatclub. Besides its cultural impact (why should a Katana be different than a bastard sword if they function the same), it should require separate feats than the club.

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

I don't agree, the Blackthorn is much different in style, wielding, shape, and significance to be considered a quarterstaff or a club.

Pathfinder 1E How to treat an Irish Blackthorn? (shillelagh)

The Blackthorn is an Irish "walking stick" which was invented when the British outlawed theshillelagh. I know the shillelagh is a spell in pathfinder, but I'm referring to the actual weapon used and revered in Ireland. What stats and proficiencies should I give it?

Pathfinder 1E Would a baseball bat be considered a greatclub or a club?

I see, I have wondered for months on how to incorporate aluminum as well as other modern materials for a modern setting I'm working on as a side project. Though I was limiting aluminum to bludgeoning weapons. Other materials I've been wondering about is hard plastic (the type used in plastic...
