    Stealth Errata Alert (MM2): Immunity

Does this refer only to the initial damage of the attack? Can a creature that's immune to poison suffer ongoing poison damage? edit - OK, I think I see. Immune to poison means means immune to all the damage AND the non-damaging effect?

Things I had to get through my head

I agree, the DM-focused books are the only ones that warrant an actual sit down and read through. The player-focused books are more like spread sheets with all the power blocks, feats, and rituals. I honestly think they are more suited for the PDF format, so they can be searched.

    Detecting Invisibility

    1. You don't need to make a stealth check to become invisible. My understanding is that being invisible is the same as total concealment. When you become invisible, you can make a stealth check. If that doesn't beat the enemies passive, they know where you are but can't see you, -5 to attack...

    Understanding Charge

I'm not 100% sure, but I think a charge is considered one action. The move and the attack are resolved before another's readied action can kick in.

Edition War Across the Net or Where Have You Been?

I imagine it is more cost effective to kill off the old product and start selling the new one. The idea is to get 3e players to switch to 4e, and buy an entirely new line of books. If they continued to support the old edition, it would cannibalize sales of the new one. They obviously also wanted...

Edition War Across the Net or Where Have You Been?

That's marketing. "Our new product is better then our old one, please buy it". When there's a new edition of Pathfinder, they'll do the same thing.

Was 4e design based around the suite of proposed D&Di tools? EDIT: found quote.

Maybe you were rememebering this? - http://games.slashdot.org/story/08/03/04/1731249/DDs-Story-Manager-Answers-Your-Questions-on-Camera?art_pos=4 In the 2nd video, the designer talks about knowing 4e would be translated to other platforms, including video games.

Monster Manual 2 and Elite/Solo design

You are probably right. I should have said "hopefully they'll do the right thing and release it as a free pdf." Yes, I know, not going to happen. :(

    Online Character Database

there are options You can store characters on thetangledweb.net or myth-weavers.com. You can also use cutePDF (or others) to "print" a character builder sheet to PDF. You can then upload that PDF to scribd or google docs. All those options give you a link you can share with others :)

Monster Manual 2 and Elite/Solo design

I was thinking the same thing. If they want to avoid a nasty uproar, they should publish that section as a free pdf (at least the crunch anyway)

Monster Manual 2 and Elite/Solo design

Honestly, I would be OK with that! If they think the MM1 solos do not work, they should all have had their stat blocks reprinted in MM2. Or, they could have printed a template with some guidelines so we can update them ourselves. Or some other option I'm not thinking of. They shouldn't just...

I'm DM'ing a Player Who Just Announced his Bard is a Kleptomaniac Pickpocket. Crap.

If he's truly klepto, there should be some kind of roll to control himself when he's sees a rich but dangerous mark. If a wealthy noble is flashing gold at the tavern, can he resist attempting a pickpocket, despite the 6 ogre body guards? If he survives the beating, maybe he finds a local...

    D&D Podcast: MM2

I really hope they publish some free guidelines for updating MM1 minions and solos to the MM2 standard. I was rather surprised to hear one of the designers admit the MM1 hydra was no good, but wouldn't be fixed. (I mentioned this in another thread -...

    Ongoing damage: questions

    1. Ongoing damage goes away after the encounter and a short rest. 2. If they are the same type, only one save is necessary. Ongoing damage of the same type doesn't stack. If they are different, save for each. 3. I believe the damage and push happen simultaneously, so I think the skeleton...
