Critical Role Do you think WotC will update the Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting guide?

Given the massive sales of Wildemount, I agree, this has to be tempting, its low hanging fruit. The Critical Role Crew and Green Ronin would be most of the work, WotC tweeks it, then they role it out, very littke effort required on WotC's part, with a ton of sales. It won't be this year.

Critical Role Do you think WotC will update the Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting guide?

Do you think WotC will update the Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting to make it an official D&D? I mean I know their is an issue with Green Ronin, but that solution is to just use Green Ronin to help make the book, they have hired third party RPGs companies to make official books before.

    D&D 3.x Multiclassing in D&D 3rd Edition

In 5e you can. If you take 50% Wizard (Bladesinger) and 50% Fighter (Eldrich Knight), you have more Spellcasting then a Paladin, and a load of useful combat and magic abilities. Go Eldrich Knight till level 5 then switch to Bladesinger for 5 levels, then decide if you want more EK or BS levels...

Critical Role Explorer's Guide to Wildemount

I was going to get both, but bills and corona came up so I decided on Theros, because its not till June, I was curious about how they would handle Theros' lore gaps, plus playable Leonin and Satyrs, and a really interesting piety system. Plus Mythic Monsters.

Critical Role Wildemount has new subraces and reprints a ton of others

Even bubbles can last years before they burst and by the time this one bursts, another generation will be on the cusp of taking over the mantle.

    Critical Role Wildemount releases tomorrow

That article proved me right, but they should pointed out that 5e Firbolgs are really Voadkyn.

Critical Role Wildemount has new subraces and reprints a ton of others

Not exactly an updated PHB, more like the combined fixed version of Tyranny of Dragons they released last year, but for the PHB + other content. And you could be right maybe they won't do this product or maybe I'm right and they will, but either way it won't be any time soon. Anyways I'm...

Critical Role Wildemount has new subraces and reprints a ton of others

I pointed to multiple editions, not just 4e. And I'm talking most about future editions or a possible special collexctors edition maybe, not the regular PHB. And by the time the next edition comes around you don't even know if it will be the same people or not, or what design philosophy they...

Critical Role Wildemount has new subraces and reprints a ton of others

No, you out right wrong. They have added and subtracted classes and races from the PHB throughout varous editions. 4e added the Warlord, 5e took it out. 5e added the Drow to the PHB for the first time ever. One addition removed monks others added them back in. 4e added Warlocks, and 5e keep...

Critical Role Explorer's Guide to Wildemount

I find it very interesting to watch the evolution of D&D settings in 5e and how the interweaving of new (Ravnica, Wildemount, and Theros) and old settings (Forgotten Realms, Eberron, and sort of Ravenloft and almost Greyhawk) is reshaping the D&D multiverse and the various races in it. At...

    D&D 5E (2014) Forgotten Realms canon question

Actually yes there is an official canon in 5e, stop confusing home game stories, with official setting canon.

Critical Role Wildemount has new subraces and reprints a ton of others

WotC did change some elements, shortened her name, changed her holy symbol, get rid of the Angel element of the Goddess (she started off as an Angel) and replaced it with Humaniod Pheonix, no references to events on Galaron. This really just broad themes and a vague simularities to the...

Don't worry they aren't going to do that.

And they put them back in 5e, while keeping Dragonborn and Tiefling, net increase in PHB races. Its not some law of physics that they have to take a race out if they add one in. Its not even a rule of thumb, its just something Paul made up out of thin air.

Says what? Do they take out Halflings and Half Orcs when they added Tieflings and Dragonborn? No. Races don't take up alot of space.

    Critical Role Wildemount releases tomorrow

Traditionally Firbolgs in FR are big human looking giant kin, with red hair. But what they did in VGTMs is take the wood giant and rename it Firbolg, messing up the lore of both in 5e's often needlessly sloppy way. Seriously look up Wood Giants from previous editions and the appearance and...

D&D 5E (2014) An Argument for Why Paladins are the Strongest Class in 5E D&D

Paladins are tops for Soloing that is for sure. Has anyone taken in Variant Class Features from the UA into account? How does that change things?

    D&D 5E (2014) Forgotten Realms canon question

APs are tricky because they have so many personal varibles, but they usually have one canon ending, for example BG: DiA has a canon ending which shapes BG3. So I'd say yes, with provisions.
